To be fair JZM did just publicly slash £20k off three or four cars to get them to sell.

Which car did you agree a MASSIVE discount on?

As ever, what you claim to 'KNOW' is directly opposite to the recent evidence seen on here...
seems not, people are buying cars much less than sticker prices which are £20k less than sticker prices 2 months ago.
only evidence on here is cars dropping £3k a week atm or higher priced cars dropping in £10k hits.

still more cars for sale than there ever has been esp at OPC's

I'll bid £129k on the car I thought about buying tomorrow see if they sell it to me.
I think some OPC would be happy to get their money back atm OPC have to move stock in 3 months, other wise figures look bad.
last 1/4 saw low OPC figures, might have to wait for the last week in Sept to start getting the deals.

July is start on a new 1/4 hard to get deals done.

seems a shame it will not be told !

we all know MASSIVE discounts can be had as most are SOR and sellers just want out esp future RS owners who will make it back on the next one.

But as he was saying prices were ok and 3 have been bought all by his mates, would have thought he would back that up with the price.

esp now he is saying "The cars will be back up at the 170k soon " lol

What EVIDENCE would that be?

& offer them a car to buy outright, that will tell you where the market is i.e. soft and trending that way. The car at list is an awesome car, like all prior GT3's.

I doubt very much that this model 991 GT3 will ever see 170k again. It will be know for engine reliability and price manipulation. However, prices depreciation will naturally slow down as we get closer to list. The risks to this model are 991.2 GT3, increased supply of the RS models, and other manufacturers.
Only current owners (not even Porsche vendors) of the 991 GT3 will find fault with that. smile

What makes you think the next GT3 will be turbo? And not sure what difference it will make if it is. Look at the prices of the older GT2s now, don't see the presence of a turbo making them any less desirable. Don't get me wrong, I prefer an n/a car as do a lot of people but whatever GT 911 arrives next, it's going to overshadow the 991 GT3 IMHO.

I honestly don't think the demand is there to push these cars back up again. Most people that want one have either got one or had one and a lot are moving on to the RS or waiting to see what comes next.
If the next GT3 is turbo charged, Preuninger will be shouting from the rooftops about how great it is. And it will be, it will be a Porsche GT3.

My business partner spoke with jzm on the red car, from what he said to me they were the most helpful and keen to try and strike a deal to sell this car for their client. They would not talk numbers on the phone but indicated there was movement on the asking price as the owner was keen to sell.

IMO that was the best spec car currently for sale and one of the cheapest!

I guess only time will tell where prices are going.

Heard today of two bought very recently, looks like they are now selling, and found a sensible price level.
Make that c5...buyers in the past week from one private forum of car enthusiasts...many of them canny buyers (all drivers not investors)..they clearly feel the GT3 performance to cost balance has tipped....

In your real life experience how much does one have to pay to the selling dealer as a percentage of the gross price when car is SOR?

last time I asked JZM it was £800 up front and 8%, Top 555 wanted 15% I laughed at both and declined.
911 virgin was my best offer but was still to much.

seemed daft to let these guys have it so I always sell private. why give 8% to 15% away when you can drop it 3 % and sell it in a week faster ?

buy outs are different if you need cash and get a nice deal on a new car, but these SOR fee's I found laughable !

I don't think I'm being an arse on this occasion & if I am it's not on purpose - What I am trying to say is I have first hand , genuine , extremely recent , personal experience of actually selling my car for very very close to the advertised price - this contradicts your view that estimates that people (who you don't know) are selling for much less than ticket price - I'm sue in some instances this will be the case , but in truth I have no idea , as I , like you , don't know this as fact - I can only speculate on this - as you are - the only fact that I know is that I sold mine for virtually what it was advertised for - this is the only FACT , that you and I know for sure - does this make me an arse ?

Congrats. Refreshing to see people just getting on with it. This thread is otherwise full of people who can't afford them trying to talk them down, otherwise why are we on page 27 talking about gt3 prices!
Oh I don't know, maybe for the same reason we are approaching 15 pages on another thread about what RS colour you should get. People just like discussing this stuff. Don't see all those people that "can't afford one" pissing on anyone's chips on that thread.
You think this thread, largely by people with vested interests to lower prices (or nothing else to do with their lives) is comparable to a thread where somebody is looking for advice on speccing their RS? This thread brings out the small minded naysayers and dreamers, the other brings out people trying to help somebody in the fortunate position to have an RS coming.

Because some owners keep coming back to this thread to talk them up! Good luck with your sale.
What sale? Are you just making all this up?
