Nice one, yours doesn't seem to be in my list of cars to add so that's another one we've got smile

The car's here
http://www.autoinsider.co.uk/carclubs/registers/en...

Can you use the button on there to send in some pictures of it?

Cheers

Private seller...flying a kite. Can't blame him.

Serious question then... were there 16 in the UK because they were limited, or because no one wanted one?
Limited...

We were over the west coast of Scotland las week and I spent a couple of hours behind the wheel of my dads Gen2 GT3RS before jumping back into my 996 GT3. One thing that the 996 didn't feel was old and my main worry that it would feel a bit crap in comparison was completely gone as soon as I was back in my car. The 996 GT2/3's may be getting on a bit now but they are still a hell of a lot of car for even today's prices. I still wouldn't sell mine today as I would need a fortune on top of it to get into something that gave me the same thrills smile

Have to say, your dad's car does sound absolutely mega though! Was great to follow it for a bit even if it was absolutely pishing it down biggrin

I think if I missed one thing from his car when I got back in mine was the noise it makes once it's up past 4.5/5k rpm's.

Didn't miss those Cup1's in the downpour though biggrin

Wow! That is quite a sight! Makes me even more upset I missed out on a 30k mile black one earlier this year for £47,500. DK Engineering now have the same car listed for £110,000.

9000 mile mk2 has just popped up for sale:

£195,000
Even comes with the original 10 year old Pirelli tyres!

They will spice any test drive up. Looks a nice car I haven't seen a RHD Mk2 yet with the non comfort seats, this one also doesn't appear to have the optional PCM unit that was available on the Mk2.

Jessica's Mk2 polar silver ex Clive Sutton car was shipped overseas last year when the then current owner sold it, his eyes will be watering if he sees this advert and asking price!

Another "old and tired" experience -- about five years back I tested a 997GT3 from Bristol OPC for quite a few miles and really enjoyed it, I guess I'd had my 2 for three years or so and fancied a change. Was also worried I'd get back into mine and it'd feel old and knackered, but boy was I wrong. And that was before I had the shocks rebuilt and suspension refreshed at CG. They were never bad cars when new, obviously, and with all the suspension components rebuildable and refreshable there's never an excuse for these to feel old, no matter how old they actually get.

Apart from a buzzing gearstick surround which was sorted out, I've still got pretty much zero rattles and knocks.
