996 gt2/3/3rs prices. are they mad?

A ford escort has more racing pedigree than a 993 gt2 yet is only worth 10 to 30 k. The 993 gt2 is a wonderful car so is the 996 gt2.if it's a gt or rs porsche it will be going sky ways in value over the years.if you look at the value if the 924 carrera gts or gtr you will see 200k to 400k for a water cooled 924 what was called the poor mans porsche .
How many decent 996 gt2 are left with original panels etc the number will
