That white Martini one is a May 09 with Adaptive Sport Seats. I viewed that one. It is absolutely mint with perfect porsche history and loads of extras.

They said the stripes haven't been on long and they will easily remove them. Bodywork and paint are mint.

Your white one looks like a nice one in the photos from RPM. All of the ones for sale are black or silver or grey. White looks very modern and fresh.

One of the guys from the forum has bought this car.

Both white turbos look mint and Im sure both owners will be delighted with their new cars.

Well done guys

Exactly that - it's a gen 1 manual, the only difference is the addition of PCM3 and Bluetooth (welcome to the year 2000 Porsche, they had BT in Nissan Micras for 5 years before this) and iPod connection.
I bought the silver Gen 1.5 with Tip from 911 Virgin a couple of months ago. Fabulous car and for daily driving, the tip is perfect.

There are some quirks with the Bluetooth in the PCM3.0, though! Which may be worth documenting here. The Bluetooth module built into the PCM allows full phone functionality. It does NOT, however, allow music streaming even from an iPhone. I have read about Porsche being too cheap to license the second optionality, unlike pretty much every other manufacturer as Adam B states...

The iPod connection lives in the armrest and has both a wired connection (to communicate with the rest of the system) and USB power, both delivered through a special Y cable. The phone end of the Y cable is a 40 30 pin Apple connector. I am told one can plug a 40 30 pin iPhone in and get full PCM integration...shame I don't use Apple phones! However, I did find out that a 40 30 pin-to-Bluetooth adaptor plugs in and powers up just fine. I got this one. The PCM then picks up the indirect Bluetooth phone connection quite happily and you can then stream music as well as make/receive calls. Oddly, I can even connect another (work) phone directly to the PCM, which then happily hands over from the music on one phone to the call from another. The music doesn't pause. But that's a small price to pay for a non-standard but near-seamless solution.

The last piece of the puzzle was mounting the phone so it (a) is in line of sight (b) doesn't block the infotainment screen or windscreen (c) within easy reach of a USB charging cable in the lighter socket without tangling up in the gear lever or handbrake (d) is rock solid. I found this, it does half block one of the centre console vents which I can live with. The weird non-heating aircon, however.... http://www.brodit.com/product.html?id=653539

Can I ask if the Bluetooth adapter worked straight out of the box. Only I have plugged mine into the iPod cable and the PCM no longer shows an iPod option

Thanks in advance

They're no strangers to hiking prices and talking their cars up only to have to apply big reductions shortly after. Just ask Cathy! wink

This car was advertised for approx £54k when it first came on the market
It was then purchased by the this dealer and increased the asking price to around £85k
When asked the question what signified the price increase the answer was "we can ask what we want"
Yet it remains unsold, maybe due to the fact that most on here are aware of how unscrupulous this dealer remains
I could understand the price hike in two/three years due to Porsche pricing gone through the roof yet to increase the price after three weeks is sheer lunacy

Me too, could understand if it was SOR and you legally buy it from the previous owner in some way

I particularly like the last picture which shows you get a set of keys included for the very reasonable purchase price. Generous to a fault.

Im sure car sold for lmuch lower than asking price (£52/3k)
I remeber the new seller saying we have to prep the car yet it was like new in the first place lol

The price differential between 996T's and 997T's seems to be very close at the moment. There are 7T's in the low forties and 6T's at similar prices with only modest differences in mileage.

Should we be suspicious of the quality of the 7's or sceptical about the price of the 6's?

Neither really, just the way the market is going. 996t's are starting to surpass 997t's , that's just the crazy Porsche market for you.

and you are comparing better 996s vs bottom of the 997s (which are older or higher mileage or undesirable specs)

In the nicest possible way this is b****y infuriating. I set myself a budget of £40K to get a 996t and now I find that I am right on the cusp, only a few £k short of a 997. The spec on the 997 hits all the buttons but some of the interior colour schemes really challenge the stomach muscles and most of the outsides are silver when I have my heart set on blue.

Aaaaarrrrggghhhh.

Rant over. I am just going to have to do better man maths, go for the 997 and scratch around until one comes along in the right hue.

Anyone know how common blue was on the 997? I am not searching for unicorn poo am I?
