I have been looking at these for ages now and the prices are definitely creeping up, around 2 years ago decent looking 06's were all pretty much around the £40k or under mark and there was a few around. Now there are none at that level seem to start at £43-45 for the same thing. Knew I should have bloody bought one back then, 2 year of cheap motoring!

How much is a black/black 997.1 manual with 11k mile worth? PCCB and in as new condition with FPSH and OPC Warranty private sale? £55k?

A friend has asked me to sell it for him. From memory it has yellow belts, Sport Chrono on the dash, black leather. The car is like new but needs to be sold. FPSH and transferable warranty. 2 owners and garaged since new.

Its on PH Classifieds now. Lovely car and Id be stunned if it was over rev'd but local OPC can complete inspection if required.

That was quick !!

Was it sold to a private individual or a trader from Northamptonshire?

Not really surprised, that car looks bloody fantastic. Low mileage and great spec.

Apart from what looks like the standard plastic on the centre console yuck (although difficult to tell from the photos). Seems a shame given all the carbon and deviated stiching everywhere else. In my mind it should all have been leather as standard. Given that it was a £100k car FFS!

I wouldn't be stunned as I was buying a 16k miles car and found it to be over revved !

I was interested in this car - a nice example and 997.1 turbos are appreciating.

But yes the plastic centre console is plain cheap, mine is not leather and neither was this one - odd given they didn't scrimp on options (PCCB) or jazzing up interior (carbon, yellow stitching) so plastic centre trim would have jarred even more.

Leather centre console would have been something I definitely specced on a new car, been trying to find an outfit the re-trims in leather but hard to find, actually might start a new topic on that.

You could always change the plastic centre trim to carbon fibre which was a factory option.

The basic interir material is very pedestrian and not hard wearing either, luckily it's not hard to change, there are places that will wrap it for you for £100 or so, or an upholsterer can leather it for you & match the stitching in the car for probably £500 or so. Not a big deal and not worth passing up a good car

Sorry to be a thick old git but what is a 6/7 you lot keep on about???
Another question I went to test drive a 997 Turbo in Bletchley on tues, it has 89000 miles on the clock but with 18 months OPC warranty left on it, anyway on start up it smoked a hell of a lot and when I asked about it, the salesmen said that they all do that, I said that the 18000 miler they had just sold (the one I wanted) did not do that on start up and all he said was OH.
Do they all smoke a lot on start up.
I am desperate for a 997 turbo Manual gen1 but am a little confused about all the specs

The boxer style engine is prone to blue smoke on start up as the pistons are horizontal.
Very normal

It should not be a lot of smoke, just a little and not most of the time.

I already own a 997.1 turbo and that is exactly what I intend to do (proper leather and stitching, not sure what you mean by "wrap"), it would not put me off this or any other 997.1 turbo

it can be as confusing as you want to make it, what do you want clarifying

997 turbos are well specced as standard, make sure it has sports chrono and adaptive sports seats and rest is a bonus
