So im taking the leap and buying my first Porsche, its a Silver 997 gen 2 PDK convertible with Chrono. Its up for 60k with 29k on clock, hoping it doesn't drop to much as I have 2 kids and as soon as the wife want number 3 the car will have to go
Congratulations, that seems a very reasonable price, is it a private sale? Have you tried the kids in the back? Cabrio is very tight / straight backed vs coupethanks Adam, actually it was a semi- private sale, they guy is selling it for his brother ( hence I keep the warranty), The price was good hence I took the leap and service history checks out and considering the 111 check was done july made me feel more comfortable.
when I took it for a test drive I had the wife and the 4yr old in the back witht the hood up, indeed it was tight. Told the wife if she wants baby number 3 she will have to deal with this for now!

That is perfectly acceptable negotiation in my book. My E46 M3 cab is on the market and I will be back to P cars soon. I have put a deposit down on a 997T and the chap is happy to wait for my sale to materialise.......
997 turbos are great value for the money right now.
seriously quick car and great value for what they are right now. even standard they are mental fast and will embarrass like 99.5 % of cars on the road
I personally prefer them to the 996 turbo as that bit more modern and up to date for what is essentially an epic sports cars for getting across Europe and the alps quickly.
on the road my gt3 would not see which way a turbo went I think. more compliant suspension and a ferry load of torque helps!
