Hi chaps.
It has the carbon multi function steering wheel, with the 'ergonomic' buttons. The Devels work IMO. I decided to take the car with it fitted, and at least try it out. The multi function part is great but the gear change buttons are total crap for me because my brain only registers that pulling the right hand button toward me should change up, but it changes down.

Anyone know of the best option to fit? Does the Alcantara wheel work well on the Turbo S? How does the trip computer thing get adjusted?

Thanks

on purchase..and as part of the negotiation..had the dealer switch out the multi-function for the leather Sports Design ...requires adding in a fourth stalk....otherwise painless...

As above - I was going to have the wheel in my last Panamera changed to the flappy paddle variety by JZM - simple (ish) to do and you end up with a 4th stick
I went the alternative (i.e. more expensive)route - bought a Turbo with flappy paddles already fitted from Factory !

Had this done. Sport design wheel is so much better looking it's not even funny. The computer is then operated through the 4th stalk which is not that bad at all. And the steering wheel can be leather. Doesn't need to be alcantara. Airbag module the same so it's a simple swap + stalk.

Thanks all. Is this something the OPC should do or is aftermarket better?

Porsche center can fit the wheel, was offered this when I was looking at some pre reg cars which all had the M/F wheel a year back.

You MIGHT want to look at getting paddles fitted to the m/f wheel?

Apparently the Gen 2 991s will have the 918/Macan style m/f wheel. Many people think that this may be a direct replacement.. perhaps worth waiting?

its a shame we couldn't do a swap. i have a 991 GT3 obviously with paddles. My problem is I only have one arm (left) after a volvo driver decided to turn in front of me on a dual carriageway, but thats another story.the GT3 is a truly fantastic car but i feel not being able to change gear myself is spoiling the whole experiance. Unfortunately as far as I'm aware the GT3 wheel can't be swapped over. Something to do with being able to pull both paddles at the same time to kick the clutch. If the swap would have been possible I'd have gladly met up with you at an OPC and swapped them over
