Lava Orange - 991 GTS

I was in Solihull OPC yesterday and saw a Lava Orange 991 GTS...........wow, blown away!!!!

It was like a neon orange and was like beacon amongst the silver, black, blue and white cars.....

I love bright colour cars but it might even be too much for me!!!

Anyone got one in that colour on here??

I also saw a lava-orange car (I think a GTS coupé) yesterday in a German PZ. However, I found the color dull. It looked a lot better on pics and videos I'd seen...

They had an orange 997 GT3 RS, the color of which I liked a lot better:

Lava orange is available as a 991 colour. I have ordered a C4 GTS in that same colour - delivery is within a couple of weeks.

There's an orange 991 GTS in the Towcester showroom too. Looks fantastic, but I'm not sure I could actually live with it daily. It's a bit of a statement and bound to attract the wrong sort of attention.

100pct agree. Saw it in the flesh at FOS and although I really didnt want to like it... I fell in love with it. And find it absurd they would dilute it by offering it on other models.

Also because I find it the "proper" colour for the RS.. I find the UV gives me a sudden urge to vomit.

I'm really not sure - I really , really want to like it so I can put it on my RS - some photos it looks epic - really rich and deep and others it looks washed out and "pink" . I saw it at the PEC and I wasn't sure , but I put it down to the showroom lights washing it out - did you take any shots - how would you describe it ? Cheers

Still think GT Silver will be sporty & classic. Gloss wheels in a contrasting colour? Orange?

I saw it on the RS in Geneva this year and took the picture below... Captured the 911 shape perfectly too!

Saw the RS at the festival of speed last Friday. Ive been a bit of a hater of the orange thus far but seeing it out in the real world and standing by the car for a while I actually get it now. Its not a "loud" colour and yes its a alittle salmon in some light and can look a little different photo to photo. I think it's actually a classy shade, a grower, almost subtle in a weird way.

I really like it in GT - however just seems wrong on an RS - too tame - but it does look good

Whilst I am joking around, it can look very salmon in certain light and then very orange/red. That said I like it, a lot!

Here are two pics which I actually took from Geneva to show the difference in colour just from the way the light falls on a surface. Both were taken just a few seconds apart and were reasonably reflective of how it looked in both situations in real life!
