Whilst I am joking around, it can look very salmon in certain light and then very orange/red. That said I like it, a lot!
Here are two pics which I actually took from Geneva to show the difference in colour just from the way the light falls on a surface. Both were taken just a few seconds apart and were reasonably reflective of how it looked in both situations in real life!
Thanks for these Yep , I really love it when it's looks really rich and deep orange - not a fan when it looks like the fish ! I guess I'll keep changing my mind until I have to lock my order , then choose a colour , then instantly regret it , then take delivery and convince myself it's spot on , then decide it isn't , then decide it is and so on ........ (Only kidding though - what a lovely "problem" to have )Here are two pics which I actually took from Geneva to show the difference in colour just from the way the light falls on a surface. LO is a safe bet, and will look glorious. It will look like an RS.
If you get the right paint detailing and PPF, I do wonder if the paint will look more solid/deep, and not washed out in some lighting situations.

Lava orange is available as a 991 colour. I have ordered a C4 GTS in that same colour - delivery is within a couple of weeks.
Please post pics when you get the car! I think bold colours on GT models are definitely the way to go....GTS can take it too I think.
I'd probably be very tempted top go PTS if I ever ordered a new car......as long as you don't get too carried away (classic Porsche colour of yester year being goodyou have a unique car that will probably be worth a decent premium come sale time.

For me the thing is about enjoyment of the car. I've never been a speculator and have/will lose money on cars - it's just a fact of life. They are there to be enjoyed and not locked away in case you put too many miles on them.
The GTS I saw in Towcester just looked orange, very orange actually. It wasn't very subtle either, it was full on orange. I once had a Blood orange 911S and it reminded me of that, but not quite the same. I'd be tempted to order a GTS in orange just to get away from the usual shades of grey on offer.
Too difficult to capture the real colour in a picture though. Really need to see it in the flesh. But I really liked it as very deep and really nice transition from red to deep orange.
But it should not be available for other models I think. Although most of these colours only work on a GT3 (RS or not). If you transpose it to a vanilla Carrera they somehow look wrong IMHO.
