GT3 - porsche track precision app

I'm struggling to work out:
a) does my car have the required hardware
b) if so how the hell do I use it !

my car has the Sport Chrono pack - which according to the blurb on the Porsche website means that it will link & work with the 'precision app'
however - I can't find any reference to this in the manual, and also how to connect it to the app
I've downloaded the app (iOS) which runs, but doesn't 'find' the car

anyone got this working - and if so - how?

I may be teaching my grandma how to suck eggs here but have you tried 'connecting' the phone to the car via bluetooth?

yep...!

though from what I've just found it looks like it connects via wlan - which was definitely turned off at the time - I'll try this tonight
