OMG! not even allowed to "Look", where is this brand going !
The OPC not Porsche were acting on the clear instruction of the customer! No doubt who had a very personal valid reason for making the request! The unconnected remark as to where the brand is going could be answered simply by saying" onward and upward." Porsche continue to be the World's most profitable car company! I cannot see that situation changing for the forseeable future.
I did ask if they could contact the owner to check if I could have just a peek as a prospective owner still to make up my mind on colour, but was told no.

You are correct the OPC was acting on specific instruction of the customer, so can't really argue with that. I believe he had pictures of a previous new car posted on the internet before he'd seen it himself, which I imagine could be annoying.

What a shame - if it was mine you would have been more than welcome I did ask if they could contact the owner to check if I could have just a peek as a prospective owner still to make up my mind on colour, but was told no.

Correct .... You would have to downscale the lettering and it just wouldn't look right I think ...
Also thinking of decal on rear wing ...but not sure
Looks good to me - I guess the only "problem" there is mixing your decals from various generations - 997.1 (side) 997 4.0 rear wing - not sure any of this is a worry though Also thinking of decal on rear wing ...but not sure

Hi Matt
Exactly 10 days and 1200 miles ago. Fantastic car. I mainly drive on the Continent so lhd is my preferred choice.
Not a bad mileage in such a short space of time - glad you're driving her! How does she fair as a road car? And have you got any/much track time planned? Exactly 10 days and 1200 miles ago. Fantastic car. I mainly drive on the Continent so lhd is my preferred choice.

It was one trip from Copenhagen so perfect for running in the car. I am trying to find a couple of Porsche Club Track Days for the Autumn just to get a feel for how this thing performs on the track compared to the 4.0. Whereas the 4.0 can only do loud and hard the 991 covers a much broader repertoire to the point where my wife actually drove it into London yesterday which she would never do in the 4.0. hornbaek said:
