How easy is it to change a bonnet badge? (without damaging the bonnet)
Two minutes or less,lift the bonnet, two nuts 6mm socket, badge comes off, clean under badge and I applied some spray sealant, then put new badge and rubber gasket on and re-fix with two new quick nuts.

Job done.

Sorry to reply to an oldish thread, but as someone who is now on the hunt for a 996 C4S, this thread is great motivation! What a fabulous car you have ended up with, if I can get one similar I'll be one happy chappy.

I'll also be contacting the 911Virgin guys for sure. That is how these cars should be presented for sale....

Thanks for the posts and photos,

Phil

As this is my car diary here are few pics from a Euro trip we went on last week, we went Calais to Stuttgart and had the next day for the factory tour and museum which was great, then dinner in the Christophorus restaurant which was very nice.
Then next day down through Germany, Austria, Switzerland and into Italy at the Munt la Schera tunnel through Livingo and then up the Stelvio pass and stayed at the Folgore hotel at the top which has the best view of any hotel I've stayed in.
Next day up early for a long drive to Annecy, through the mountains as far as the St Gothard pass and then motorway the rest of the way.
A nice day looking around Annecy and lunch by the canal then a quick blast up to Le Dracy near Dijon.
And finally a blast home to Calais with a quick stop at Reims Geux for a photo.
The car was faultless for the whole trip which was 1862 miles in total.
Anyway a few pics as promised;

Mega Chinese buffet in Stuttgart Monday night, those that know me can imagine the carnage biggrin

Outside the museum on Tuesday morning ready for the factory tour which was great and well worth doing if you like the marque.

Few museum pics'

Someone likes a G&T or 5...

Somewhere in Switzerland on the way to Stelvio;

About an hour and a half later'

Welcome to the Folgore

Again good views from here, also I was woken at 6,10am by 10 991.2's on an early morning raid storming up the Stelvio, all brand new and a in a variety of colours and models, maybe a magazine feature or something but an awesome alarm call considering the setting..

Then down the Umbrail pass before heading of through the Alps to Annecy;

Switzerland's version of Clacketts lane services,

Hotel room in Annecy view, not bad either

Spot of sight seeing and lunch

Obligatory Reims shots'

Great trip with a great car.
