Hi. I would like to fit an aftermarket steering wheel to an early boxster. I'm struggling to find the correct boss to attach the wheel to! Can anyone suggest any options please?

There was / is a race series for these cars so assume it's possible. Also I think the 996 cup one may fit ( I would like clarification ) but this is £400 from what I can see.

Thanks.
Rich

Suggest you try someone like Demon Tweeks for a Momo or similar one.

You need the Momo 7004.

Demon tweeks first port of call. Unfortunately no use. There isn't one listed for boxster.

Thanks for second reply. Managed to get sorted through rpm technic with the same one they used on 996. Not fitted yet but hopeful! It's a momo one. Will check code.

Cheers all.

Tried to do a thumbs up before by the way and managed an angry face instead!

I'd quite like to fit a later steering wheel to my 2007 987 3.4S rather than the large standard steering wheel. Any suggestions?

I ended up with a boss from rpm and associated wires and a wheel from eBay! Omp. Similar in looks to Porsche cup wheel.

Frustratingly not fitted yet! It's been at my Pals garage every Saturday for the last 3 weeks and he's having it for the next 2 weeks too. Having quite a bit done to it so it's ready for some euro / ring trips.

I will upload some pics when it's all done and tested.

Cheers
