918 owners (not just US) were invited (to pay...) for a trip to Geneva for a few days which includes a preview. Not specifically of an R, but of a 'new model'. I don't think anyone's expecting to be going to see the Panamera update though!
Don't know numbers, but my guess is that if you bought a 918 new, and still have it, you will get one, that would probabky tie in with numbers being discussed.
I very much doubt they'll be have the price of a 918. At that, I don't think they'd sell. I'd certainly pass on it, if offered.

I've been giving this a bit of thought (not much , but a little) and I guess in its simplest form it's just good business - it's bloody clever :1. If you want a piece of the action sir you'll need to prove your worth by buying lots of cooking models - "there are no guarantees but this is up to you sir if you ever want keys to the club "
2. "Forget the blah (insert GT3 , 4 , RS ,R as appropriate) these are long gone - however , for so much less (due to overs) you can buy a blah (insert C2S , etc as appropriate) and in truth sir , bar the spoiler it's virtually identical and as such £K X means it's an absolute bargain "
Got to love them
As I say , genius

-white or silver (no PTS even if you're god himself)
-red or green center stripe
-black or saddle brown interior
-carbon panels.
-massive weight reduction efforts
-underbody aero
-4.0
That pretty much sounds the business (although I want to really see what "massive weight reduction" means in reality). As it is manual only (at least that was what I understood) this could well be the 991 I have been waiting for all along. Let's see what my purchase option (it's with an OPC on the continent, so I am less worried than if it had been in the UK) will be worth once all details are known 911R

The only numbers I know (and trust) is that the price will be about half of that what a 918 Spyder cost and not every 918 Spyder owner will be able to get one.
.
that's one expensive car, no way it will be £350k !!.
more like £170k if it is all Carbon so 1/2 of your trusted value imo.

The Sport Classic in 2011 was little more than a parts bin special (ok, the roof...) but cost £140k. The market has changed a lot since then. We'll see. The number I have been told is €300-400k.more like £170k if it is all Carbon so 1/2 of your trusted value imo.
