An OPC have told me it now exists on their systems. There will be 991 cars worlwide, and in the UK will cost approx £175k.
How many 997.2 GT3 4.0 were there - I think about 600 world wide is this right ?Cheers

My OPC told me it is NOT yet on their System but they have been told how many cars they will get. I have also been quoted there will be 991 cars only, with about 950 actually going into the dealer network. Price wise they expect the car to cost about 220k € although they have no definitive info on pricing. The best news by far was that I will get one
Interesting info, thanks for sharing. Congratulations on being confirmed a car.lsb said:

Interesting. Reached out to my OPC on the continent and they claimed to have no information at all on the 991R and its allocation...GT4P said:
Andrew Frankel reports in Autocar that the 991R could be a regular model and not limited if not to pricey I might be interested!
Thanks for the heads up. Interesting comments by him regarding the 911R likely to be a permanent addition to the 911 lineup. I don't know how close he is to Porsche so difficult to determine how accurate his comments are but would be strange for him to be so specific if he didn't have any inside knowledgeLittleern said:

Andrew Frankel is one of the few motoring journos that I respect ,longtime 911 fan as well so hope there is some truth in those comments but we shall know in a couple of weeksJLZ78 said:

Andrew Frankel's article seems to suggest that the car will be unveiled at Geneva 2017, not this year.
I can't see Porsche releasing a vehicle based on a 991.1 in 2017. Someone (a user that goes by the handle Metzeger) posted these on Rennlist a couple of hours ago.
Another forum member went all CSI on them and found this writing on the tach:
Looks like it's coming, and I for one am more excited than I thought I'd be, even though I'm not in the market for it. This thing might be genuinely special.
