Excellent article, someone finally understands that high 0-60 doesn't automatically mean fun driving!
On YouTube, the GTR fanboys constantly bombard the comments sections with the usual stuff about how cheap the GTR is and how it has a faster 0-60. Driving an Aston is something intangible: it puts a smile on your face as the sound, the feel and the looks all come together in perfect harmony.
But then most internet fanboys have never owned a car...apart from in Gran Turismo or Forza...

One of the car magazines used to do a "Time elapsed to Danger" figure in their write ups which was the from memory the time to overtake an artic lorry doing 40 mph so was basically the acceleration between 40 and 60. Always thought it was a much better indication of a cars real world performance.
On the full blown roadtest I believe it was the same magazine that used to do full tables of in gear acceleration in various gears and at 10 mph increments, again much more useful than the 0-60/0-62 time.

Performance Car magazine. It was brilliant and Clarkson used to write an article in the back called Chattels, very funny. On the full blown roadtest I believe it was the same magazine that used to do full tables of in gear acceleration in various gears and at 10 mph increments, again much more useful than the 0-60/0-62 time.
I did think it was Performance Car Magazine but knew that if I put that someone would be along to say it wasn't.
Whilst I am sure it was time consuming going to the lengths/detail they did I would have thought that with modern technology the likes of Evo should be able to put up a couple of times for say 30 to 60 and 50 to 70.
