A very fond and sad farewell, in fact.

I can recall back in '07/'08 joining PH specifically to ask questions about my potential purchase.

Wife and I ended up with an 06 Manual C2S, seal grey, black leather, 5k miles on the clock from Porsche Silverstone.
Not massively spec'd. Sports Exhaust, Sat Nav and different wheels than standard.

And after 8 years its time to move her on. She's just shy of 40k miles now. But rarely used. Not driven since August last year. She's sat on a battery conditioner in the garage. I'd planned to part-ex her against something newer, but it's not the right time just now.

I've enjoyed every single mile. Couple of glorious trips to France. And ambled all over the UK in her too.
Never put a foot wrong (there was a squeaky steering column and the odd MAF sensor were put right under warranty). And I'd kept her serviced as per the guidelines. No longer on the Porsche Warranty - but the last time she was, they boroscoped (sp?) the engine and everything was fine.

I'll keep lurking in here for my 911 fix. And update when a replacement is bought (hopefully this year). Might not even be a 911 (!!!) but I do love the 991 GTS....

Bye Petronella Porsche:
