Honda Varadero Seat

Does anybody know if the seat from a 2009 Varadero will fit a 2006 bike? I've spoken to two dealers, who confirm that the part numbers are different, but they can't say what the differences are and whether or not they are interchangeable.

I have a 2006 bike with a knackered seat base, and there is a custom seat on e-bay for a 2009 model. It's the only decent seat that I've seen for sale after weeks of trawling the internet, so I'd like to bid on it if it's going to fit!

Any assistance greatly appreciated!

Try looking at online parts stores for seats, if they split the models by year then there's your answer. I did a quick check and found a website selling one that fit all Varadero 1000 models.

You mentioned a custom base so not sure that's any help, but only thing I could think of.

Maybe buy it, try it. If it's wrong put it back on eBay?
