GPS Tracker - 911 - Where and how to install it ?

Hi,
I have a small GPS tracker (size of small cigarets box) I’d like to install in my 911, in a discreet place. (i.e. in dashboard or inside at rear side of the car) but of course not covered by metal as that would affect the GPS/GSM signal reception. I already tried to dismount the gloves box or find a place in the dashboard without dismounting it but unsuccessfully….. has someone already installed such tracker ? if yes, where and how to do it ?
