Not everyone remembers him fondly
I had to go to his house Bicester way 30 years ago to claim all my money back on a 911 2.4S when he had done------- absolutely nothing-and charged me £800. I got it back....

Was that really necessary ?

He may have done "nothing" as you said.

You got your money back as you said.

So the maximum you really lost was the trouble to which you were put.

And this stain is now on your character, not Bob's.

I hope the admin remove this so that it can start again without cheap shots.

He who without sin throw the first stone ..... Of all the obituary threads I have read, I have yet to read such a vile and misplaced post as above. When Bob was alive and kicking and had the right of a reply over the last thirty years, surely then was the time and place to raise the alleged issue.

Not here and now ..... Moderator please delete.

I had work done by him on several occasions, all done well, no issues whatsoever. RIP

Bob used to be the Technical Guru for the PCGB 911 turbo Register, and I’ve lost count of the number of times he helped out members at no charge. I remember him proving to me that it was possible, using only a trolley jack and the correct tools, to change all 6 plugs on a 911 turbo in under an hour. It actually took him just over 40 minutes, but that may well have been because he was doing the job at the same time as talking me through it. As has been said - sorely missed by the majority....certainly by me.
