Leather seat backs look great, but you never get to see them..! Painted seat backs look even better. I chose standard, as my children will inevitably be resting their feet against them....
Can you still get painted seat backs, I don't see them on the config???Your OPC sales person should be able to help. Some Porsche Exclusive things are just mental prices but others are only slightly mental. If you , for example, wanted the same seats as in the 911 50th you'd be looking at several thousand pounds for the houndstooth.

Looks great in Agate and i absolutely love the carbon multifunction heated steering wheel.I'm phoning my OPC first thing tomorrow morning to see if its not to late to add it to my April 29 build GTS. Good value option imo and ties in nicely with the carbon package....Looks like you have beaten the April 1st new car road tax increase too you jammy sod...!nick28 said:
It was the standard one i.e. -20 . Ride is spot on and compliant.
Could I ask you a favour please - I would love to know the ground clearance under the front apron if you would be good enough to measure it. It will help reassure me (or not) that I don't need the front lift, I managed OK with my Boxster GTS and if it's no lower I know I will be OK. I think the front overhang is about the same as the Boxster so it will be a good comparison. Thanks in advance. Gordon.

Anyway...time for a gratuitous picture

Hi. We have a Boxster GTS as well and had no issues, in contrast to the GT4 I had before which did bottom out on some of the sharper gradient changes. Don't think you'll have an issue with the 991GTS. I've just been over an unmade road and it was fine. I measured the front overhang and it was approx 15cm, compared to 9cm for my RS (which does have the lift).
Your car looks great! Thanks for the height info - my BGTS was approx 15cm from the bottom of the rubber strip (under the apron) to the road. I would prefer the -20 suspension like yours but wondered if I would need the -10 for that bit more clearance. The Boxster was fine on all normal roads and car parks etc, my main problem was the car ferry which I use often (to get off and back to the IOM where I live), I had to drive onto and off the ramp at an angle with the Boxster to prevent it grounding, so anything lower would need the lift.Taffy66 said:

Taffy, did you manage to add the carbon wheel..? While you're at it, I dare you change the body colour to Carmine Red..! Will look superb....Seems they're all being ordered in GT silver....IREvans said:

I phoned first thing this morning unfortunately it was too late..however my salesman prefers the smaller GT alcantara steering wheel anyway..I also love this steering on my GT4 due to the firm handgrip so no huge regrets...I pass through Brecon sometimes in my GT4 and i'd love to call by when you get yours to see it...Pm me if you're interested with contact details etc...
I am considering choosing Isofix kit on the front passenger seat - purely to get the airbag switch as I may sometimes wish to have a child passenger (in an appropriate seat/booster of course). Could anyone help by telling me what is the backrest tilt restrictions that's mentioned on the configurator - how much does it restrict the backrest please?

Talking of Carmine Red this 991.1 GTS caught my eye in the classifieds with the duck tail

Factory fitted too.http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...
Amazed how many I've seen for sale which have had the aero retrofitted and thus have the wing deployment button still present. My OCD wouldn't be able to cope with that!

That is really nice, the ducktail or Aerokit Cup really completes a 911 imo. There is only one thing wrong with it, the rear wiper!! I will forever judge people who spec a rear windscreen wiper!http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...
