I too considered graphite blue. Matt Prior says the car in their Autocar video is that colour, it's looks great in the video, but in the flesh it looks more blue. Anyway, I went with Agate grey. PDK for me. The gearbox suits the car, and the 7 speed manual isn't that great.
I was going for Carmine Red then saw a couple of 991.1s in Agate Grey, including a GTS. To me, and colour very much is a personal choice, the cars look fantastic in Agate so that's what I've opted for, with PDK plus a load of other 'options'!!

I'm going for GT Silver. Would have really liked the Volcano Grey they do in the Macan, but not standard on 911. I looked at Agate, but wasn't 'grey enough' for me (still looks great though).

What made you change from a GT3? :O driving

Looks stunning in that colour! I've always wondered with GT3's - is it really that essential to have PCCBs? Surely the steels are monstrous anyway? biggrin

It went to make way for a lava orange RS...which had PCCBs. The steel brakes are great, but I prefer the initial bite and pedal feel you get with ceramics.

That answer kinda compounds the question! Why would you change from an RS??

So, amassed several thousand miles and many smiles in the RS, but it has since made way for an M2, Golf Clubsport S (which is insanely good), and a soon to arrive 991.2 GTS....but I'm patiently waiting for a 991.2 GT3...!

Having a very tentative eye on a 991.2 GTS (and having never driven a 911 ever rolleyes) I had a quick test drive in a 991.2 C2S on Saturday. Wondered if I should do the test drive, as I felt convinced that when I got back in my CGTS it would seem slow/poor spec/outdated and I would fall out of love with it and think of it as a very poor relation to a "real Porsche". I have to report that the C2S was more refined, very quick, has a very compliant ride, has a useable sport+ mode etc...but it just didn't get me in the "excitement factor".

So got back in the CGTS, looked around inside, grinned at the GTS Alcantara set up, started it up, smiled stupidly at the sound even at idle, and drove away like I was in my own private racing car smile. Still in love bow

Maybe I wasn't trying hard enough in the C2S and/or the 991.2 GTS will be a bit more "exciting". Thoughts?

I've just sent in my amended 991.2Gts configuration code to my OPC to include RAS and PDK and i'm on the fence regards whether or not to tick the LED lights and radar cc as i have both specced on my April build Panny 4e hybrid. My dilemma is i don't know how long i'll have it as it will be p/xed for a new 991.2GT3 and am worried the extra cost will just benefit the next owner...!
I will hardly do any motorway miles on the Gts and also unsure if i like the black LED surrounds or the simpler and still brilliant bi-xenom pdls which are free...

I am now about to order but struggling to understand the interior. It seems that you can have two alcantara packages, the GTS package (GR) plus the GTS interior package 088. I remember my 997 GTS was a bit bare inside, but do you need both of these or have I misunderstood? Also on the seat front are the Sports Bucket seats with memory electric code P02.

It is a minefield the configurator.

You can have memory buckets now but obviously its just up / down and forwards / backwards with no recline as the seat is fixed.
You'll need both packages at about £4500 if you want a leather dash / door tops and GTS pack which adds the coloured stitching etc.
It was the same on my 991.1 GTS.

mine has gone into "V250 Vehicle fixed in production" today which is a bit ahead of schedule.
i went for carrera GTS in agate with main mechanical options being pdk, rws, pdcc - 20mm. Also GTS interior ( w silver stitching )
don't think it will get here for 31st Mar though.

Thank you for your help on that, I think I understand, does the first pack get the extended Alcantara and leather and the GTS package get your the embellishments? I am not sure what to do on the seats, I think i prefer electric seats with some kind of memory. I have had dual clutch, automatic and PDK for the last 10 years so I actually fancy a manual for a change. I drive my wifes John Cooper Works Mini and really enjoy it. I would not be my daily driver. I also think removing the GTS badges on the rear may tidy it up as well. So I think my main decision is buckets or not. This forum is brilliant for times like this, I ticked the smokers package as someone mentioned it tidied it up!

I prefer the Silver GTS package because then the Rev Counter is silver and not the more shouty red. But I do like the red stitching! First world problems

Correct - I had the same confusion myself....You need to order both GTS packages to get the leather dash and door cards etc, and it seems you can't order one without the other....or rather, Porsche wont let you....very clever up selling...!

My take on lights is that the standard xenons are very good, and the LEDs are very very good..! I had them on a 991 GT3, they were great on country lanes, as they created a more defined edge to the light beam, with a slightly whiter light.....having said that, I haven't specced them on the GTS.

Radar cc is again something I'd quite like, but can probably live without, so haven't specced it. (It also annoys me that it's almost certainly the same VAG tech that's standard fit on my Golf R...!)
