The gts interior packs add up to nearly 5k , are you saying you won't sell a car without them ? Or that a car without them will fetch more than 5k less come resale ?
For example would a car without interior packs but with rws not be as desirable as a car with no rws but with interior packs
I've specced mine up and with the gts package it's 118k , My gt3 spec is barely anymore .
Best thing to do is take a look at the 991.1 market... I was studying it very closely for months whilst hunting for mine. For example would a car without interior packs but with rws not be as desirable as a car with no rws but with interior packs

The cars without the GTS interior always sit around the bottom end of the market, often regardless of how good the rest of the spec is. They also seems to hang around for quite a long time too. Perhaps they aren't £5k cheaper, but if I had to put a figure on it I'd say about £3k cheaper.
Personally, I'd pay the extra £2k for an easy re-sell any day (not to mention how lovely it looks and feels whilst you own it).
I truly don't mean this nastily to anyone pondering the choice, but if the £2k saving is an important consideration, perhaps a £100k car on which we're yet to fully understand the residual values on might be quite a big bite to be taking?
It's more a matter of principal for me though ,spending 5k to get a decent interior on a 100k car.and by the time you spec one of these up you are into some serious (slightly used) competition .

My April build 991.2GTS coupe comes in at circa £106K based on the pre-increase price which applies to mine...My spec is as follows: GT silver, PDK, RWS, Red interior Gts interior pack,Bose,Park assist f/r,auto dim/wipers which adds about £9K to the base 991.2GTS PDK which i think is sensible if you have one eye on re-sale...It's more a matter of principal for me though ,spending 5k to get a decent interior on a 100k car.and by the time you spec one of these up you are into some serious (slightly used) competition .
Used to have a 997.1 GT3 sold it a few years ago as was moving house. Now got 2 little ones so thought the Macan GTS would be the perfect compromise solution as had the itch for another sports car. Macan is great but it's a compromise too far, neither me or the mrs is excited about driving it. Was on the list for the GT3 but decided before hand, chances were close to zero so looked at the 991.2 gts. I love naturally aspirated but the macan engine has changed my view on the turbo engine cars, they can rev and sound good. Pdk gearbox is very good but I (and thankfully the wife) love a manual. The old GT3 was quick with 415 bhp and the new gts has 450 with a load of torque. So macan goes the macan, in comes 991.2 C2 GTS, manual, 4 seats, plenty quick enough and a happy wife..... deposit down.... can't wait!!!
Miami Blue
Alcantara® Package GTS in conjunction with GTS interior package Rhodium Silver
ParkAssist (front and rear) with reversing camera
Electric slide/tilt glass sunroof
Privacy glass (rear side windows and rear window)
Side skirts painted
7-speed manual transmission
Front axle lift system
Rear-axle steering
20-inch 911 Turbo S wheels
GTS interior package
Cruise control
Automatically dimming mirrors with integrated rain sensor HomeLink® (programmable garage door opener)
Heated multifunction steering wheel
Adaptive Sports seats Plus (18-way, electric)
Seat heating
Smoking package
ISOFIX child seat mounting points on front passenger seat
Extended interior package door panel in leather/Alcantara®
BOSE® Surround Sound-System
Went for the axle lift as I always used to ground the GT3 and a retro fit would be so expensive. Ground clearance isn't as bad but better safe that sorry.

when does the pre increase kick in ? I paid a deposit in feb but havent firmed my spec up so I assume I will pay the increase.Your spec is very close to my spec except I went awd as it is very useful where I live ,mud on roads from tractors etc.As an aside The pdk is 3k on the gts ,its 2k on the cayman ...go figure.franki68 said:

It is interesting how many ways and opinions there are on speccing these up. I decided after much deliberation to go Graphite Blue in manual. It will be a high days and holidays car so I think I want some fun. My 997 GTS was a daily and I had the PDK and it is brilliant but just fancied a change. There is no right of wrong way of course and I cannot wait to see everyones pics.
On another subject what is the best running in advice, do I need to change oil at 1,000 miles?

I'll be locked down on specification in 3 weeks time and still cannot decide on colour, both outside and GTS stitching.
Running a pole would be good but I've no idea how to, anyone want to start one?
I have also been confirmed a mid June build, I'm guessing this will be an "18MY" car?

why dont you get agate grey outside, black interior and lots of yellow stitching. the MY18 seems to have lots of additional options for different stitching - it didnt work for me on the configurator few days back though.
i had agate grey + yellow stitching in a GT4 and it looked great.
[but probably just stick to the GTS interior to be safe ]

I assume you have gone for the standard sport PASM? Does anyone know what the ground clearance is under the front apron? I could compare it to my BGTS and decide if I need axle lift.fseyyad said:

Interesting as we do have Agate grey in pole position followed by GT Silver. Not been a fan of red cars but looking to go red stitching inside for a change, although Rhodium may brighten up the cabin in a good way i had agate grey + yellow stitching in a GT4 and it looked great.

I've gone for GT Silver and Rhodium GTS interior. Perhaps controversially I have chosen the -10 PASM as standard on the S models, our B roads are uneven (to put it kindly) so a slightly more compliant suspension is welcome to me. Otherwise my car is quite a high speciation, when it's finalized I will post the details.
Do many of you choose the leather covered seat backs? It's not a cheap option, but I have seen a car with it done and looks really classy - especially if your colour combination is enhanced by it. My car will be GT Silver with silver stitching so it'll look OK in the standard silver painted finish I reckon.

The look great as do the painted backs but there are other options I would choose first. I'd add that money to the money you have to spend on a paint colour and go PTS for example! Gorsh said:

My incoming GTS is GT silver and standard sport plus seats with silver backs which match the exterior imo..So imo don't waste your money or better still put that saving towards the sport buckets...Taffy66 said:

Leather seat backs look great, but you never get to see them..! Painted seat backs look even better. I chose standard, as my children will inevitably be resting their feet against them....Cipo said:
I'm going for the standard painted backs as I think it will match the silver interior stitching, so a great match if it's GT Silver. Also going for standard -10 PASM as it will be an everyday driver. My build is at £118k and trying to reduce it to before the price increase is tough. It was £116.3k. At the moment I have PDK, LED lights, active cruise with the standard sport seats plus, rev cam etc.
I find that not ticking all the boxes is a real test of self restraint...!Cipo said:

I do think that with some paint/interior combinations the seats would look better covered, but in my case and anyone else whose car is silver and/or getting the silver stitching then the're fine left in silver.I'm also at just under £118k, I decided it's too much of a sacrifice to get it back to pre price increase. I drove a C2S on the standard -10 PASM and 20" wheels yesterday, it was only a short drive (the OPC were happy to give me longer but I had a plane to catch) but enough to convince me that I liked the suspension, a little more compliant than the Sport PASM but still very stable on roundabouts (which was the best I could challenge it with on my short drive). I don't really want to due the price, but I wonder how much better it would be with PDCC on our bumpy roads - I don't think the Sport PASM would need it but the -10 may be better with some assistance to keep the car stable on bumpy roads and corners.
