Well handed my spec in the other day for a June build, feels weird as hopefully I won't be keeping the car long (promised a gt3 if there is a 2018 allocation),I discussed the gts contrast stitching pack with the dealer and he thought the gts leather pack was Essential as the cabin is plasticy without it, but said no issue not to have the contrast stitching ,cf etc.
Absolutely no trouble reselling it based on the spec I have given him.
I have gone pdk which was the biggest decision for me as I have pretty much always run manuals , but I thought the pdk really suited the engine when I test drove the 991.2s.
Put the glass sunroof on as well as I love the look ,and have really missed a sunroof on the last few cars I have .

I'll be locked down on specification in 3 weeks time and still cannot decide on colour, both outside and GTS stitching.

Running a pole would be good but I've no idea how to, anyone want to start one?

I have also been confirmed a mid June build, I'm guessing this will be an "18MY" car?
So back on to the exterior colours, went up to Hatfield yesterday to have a look round and saw agate, although a nice colour it's not for us. Also saw a new sapphire blue 911 which looks stunning but probably too loud for everyday, looking at a couple of GT silver 911's it's probably the safe bet?

Choosing the paint colour is really difficult as there is no wrong choice. For me I don't want black or white, I ruled the special colours out due to cost, but I was still left with several to choose from. I generally don't like black wheels but decided to keep the RS Turbo ones standard on the GTS, I think Agate is lovely - but not for me with black wheels. After dithering for ages I have now seen a few in GT Silver and while it's quite a subtle colour it is smart, extremely classy and to me gives the 991 body a lovely sleek look, and the metallic effect in sunshine is great too... so GT Silver it is and I now feel settled with it which is a great relief!

As for the interior I decided after much deliberation to have the GTS Interior with silver stitching. I was very tempted to just have the GTS/Leather interior at around £2.5k, also liked the idea of the Sport Tex seats which look great as they come with contrast stitching.

So, here's a left field question for those not preferring the black centre locks. In the Tequipment at the end of the configurator, you are able to get the silver S turbo wheels as a winter option. Is there any reason why tyres cannot be changed over if this wheel colour is preferred or is this a no go. Just think it opens up new exterior colour opportunities?

Less hassle is getting the wheels diamond cut. There is a Targa GTS that parks just round the corner from my car, and our local OPC got the wheels done for the owner.

With the 991.1 Targa GTS I can see how that would work because on the brushed metal finish on the Targa Bar. Not sure it would work on a 991.2 Coupe or Targa because every thing else is black (Targa Bar on .2 GTS has been changed to black).

I wouldn't get the original wheels diamond cut personally.

Personally not a fan of those wheels on a GTS and not a massive fan of them on the Turbo either. It's very colour dependent. I saw a Gulf Blue Turbo with those wheels and didn't think they worked.

Depends which colour the OP is thinking!

We were originally looking at a C4s until our older got pulled because of the GTS builds so we had no hesitation in taking up the offered GTS allocation as it wasn't available when we ordered our car last year. We specified the spider wheels on the C4s on jet black metallic hence....

I have to agree I don't think those wheels look right on a GTS and the black theme must stay regardless but did not want all stealth black so probably going to go with GT Silver

I've noticed a couple of posts on here referencing the price increase - I presume those mentioning it have not yet placed their orders?

I placed my order about 4 weeks ago and the dealer came back to me last week to confirm build date but 'informed' me I would have to pay the price increase.

I've told him that as far as I am concerned I have a firm contract for delivery of the car I specified at the price specified. There are a couple of opt outs for me due to consumer protection laws but Porsche are contractually bound. The dealer is stalling. Anyone have any views or experience of similar?

I've got a new Pannamera hybrid and 991.2GTS being built commencing April 29 and my salesperson has confirmed both are fixed at the pre-increase prices. The price increases apply to all cars built from week 22 forward which is roughly end of May. There is a clause in the purchase order form where Porsche can increase prices without notice.
Basically i think this is a fair arrangement as everything has to go up in price in line with inflation. If your order has not been locked your deposit is fully refundable which you can exercise which again is imo a fair system...

They look fantastic on Black, Silver and White cars. But wouldn't work as well on say Carmine Red in my opinion!

I'd be really torn a Turbo S in white or GT Silver. Black is good but like my missus - extremely high maintenance!

Yes, all cars produced from week 22 onwards will be invoiced at the new price. However, if you look at the configurator, there are some items now included as standard; heated seats I've noticed. My car arrives pre price increase, but had it been built later, and I'd have to pay the new price, I wouldn't have been concerned. If you look at the UK price vs the Euro price, its still considerably cheaper here, plus, we live in an inflationary economy, everything goes up in price.

I'm sure the small print on the contract will state the dealer can charge the price at the time of delivery, not at the time of order. And if you're really not happy, I'm sure the dealer will return your deposit....

But what will you buy instead..? I cant think of a car I'm looking forward to more than the new GTS....

agree would also think you will have the option to cancel if not happy with the price increase - unlikely they would lock it in without informing a customer of the price increase from the original order form?
