On the PCGB forum a member has posted photos of his Mexico Blue 991 GTS with the duck tail. Amazing looking car!

I have a black GTS:

PDLS+ LED Headlights are brilliant (I am getting on a bit at 44 so helps me see at night)

Full alcantara and styling package (which I think sadly added around £4k to price) but means pretty much every surface is either leather or alcantara

Alcantara wheel - much better than leather

BOSE

18-way seats are great

Phone / bluetooth etc I think is standard

The Sport + crazy mode is great. I think of it as normal, scary and mad, in sport+ it is insane to drive, just brilliant. I thought I would miss 4-wheel drive but not at all, this is much preferable.

I prefer the subtlety of not having the permanent spoiler so mine has the standard retractable

In black with black GTS letters and black letters on the back it is quite anonymous which is how I like it.

I drove this back to back with a new 4S with the turbo engine and the 4S felt awful, the turbo engine is not a patch on the one in the GTS.

From memory mine came in at around £110,000 new.

Manual 991 GTS Targa...special car. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the only UK one!

do you think so.......it's massively spec'd.....didn't want Alcantara as my RS has that and no PDK as I need to feel driver involvement just wanted a real nice Top off Euro touring Sports car with a bit of an edge and still capable of the odd trackday I'm also in two minds as to have the front and rear seat inserts re-trimmed in classic black and white houndstooth...maybe maybe not not sure yet....anyway although I do say so myself it's a bit of a looker

I reckon it might be. I don't think OPC's got two Targa GTS's at most didn't they ? I don't know what the % of manual to PDK GTS's are but judging by the AUC site manual 991's are rare full stop and I reckon most people that want a manual are more likely to go Coupe as it's seen as being more of the drivers choice...less weight than a 4wd Targa.

Based on a guesstimate of there being 60 Targa GTS's in the UK I definitely reckon lass than 5 would be manual

Well I guess that's good news but for me it's the perfect Euro Touring top off GT Car which covers all the bases even the odd Trackday and for me being a manual it has added driver involvement.......I didn't buy this because I really wanted a GT3 / Track weapon (I already got one of them) or an investment I bought it because of the reasons mentioned......still like you say maybe only a handful of manual Targa GTS cars not forgetting it's also the last of the 3.8 N/A engines..... thumbup

that is pretty much my perfect 991 (I'd want the folding buckets) - very cool

I originally spec'd it with the Carbon Bucket seats but once I'd thought about it I got Bucket seats in the RS so I decided not to in the end to be fair they looked a bit out of place as the shoulder wings were quite wide so I had extra leather added to the backs of the sport seats to make me feel better in anycase I did go back on the configurator only to find that the bucket seat option had been removed

Me too. If it was manual with buckets and extended leather I think it would be a keeper tucked away in my garage.
