The one at Stirlings looks very tempting
Well priced and nice spec
I have that as my wall paper - subconscious conditioning for the family so they won't feel surprised if / when it pulls up in the drive.

I suspect that if it had the GTS interior pack it would have been sold by now.

At least they're not diamond curt alloys, a very easy repair. You could almost get away with doing that yourself with a mat black touch up pen!

Ow! Might be too much for a touch up with a 'Sharpie'. Apparently there is a very good wheel refurbisher on the same estate as Swindon OPC and tbh it's going to have to go there unless you have a large torque wrench and a 6-foot long bar to undo the centre locks.

Plus points your wheel will come back lovely and clean! ;-P

60k?!

I must say Tuffer, your centre-locks are in very good condition!
Most are a horrible milky colour as I think they dont like wheel cleaner?

Anyone have good experience of comparing carrera gts with carrera 4 gts? Seems like prices for 4WD are quite a bit less than RWD from recent cars seen on the Porsche Locator.
( in some case similar cars both at ~99k even though 4WD would have cost £5k more at the outset )

Both are very similar I think TBH. The 4 is slightly heavier but in the real world you wouldn't notice the difference. For me I wanted as pure as possible and even with a manual but very hard to find so i went 2wd PDK.
It'll probably have slightly better steering and be a little more urgent but apart from that nothing in it although there is I suppose slightly less to go wrong.

Prices will be on a par with each other even though the 4 GTS was a tad more expensive new as the purist wants a 2WD in most cases.

If I lived in the highlands, I'd have a 4 !

We already tried that, but the OPC didn't want to play ball !!!

Anyway, I think with that level of damage the car could be Cat D or maybe even C. ;-)

I touched up a smaller scuff on a satin platinum wheel with matte nail polish until I could get it refurbished - layered it on and sanded it back with 2000 grit. From standing eye level it was unnoticeable, thus avoiding that 'GRRRR' factor every time you look at the damage.

Well with the GTS interior being in Silver highlights rather than Red it was virtually unsellable anyway so this was the final straw 😀

I'm sure they'll tell you that when you trade it in. You'll probably have to pay them to take it off your hands I would imagine.

Good point above. What's with porsche and the centre-locks fading? Just down to strong wheel cleaner? Mine started to turn and really frustrating

What are you looking to change into this time? I had a sit in a McLaren the other day and had a real desire to get my credit card out there and then. 570S to GT could be a nice place to go imo.
