If you've still got it in March you should come along to the RS day at Oulton, would be nice to catch up and take a look at the GTS. No places on track but you could always get on the reserve list if you want to really see what it will do. wink
Yes will defy pop up and I will still have it! Will be good to catch ups again for sure. I'll being my lid and hopefully get some passenger laps!
I think Ian is local too isn't he?

Yes I know, that escalated quickly! Realised I can't be too picky and this (almost perfect) one came up on Monday so had to move fast. I'm absolutely over the moon though, what a car. Completely see what all the fuss is about now. If you're pondering whether to get one, seriously... just do it!

Bit of feedback btw if anyone is in doubt of where the market is heading, there's a lot less cars actually available than it seems on AutoTrader... Many of the ones I've enquired on are either already sold or have deposits in place (in particular the lovely black and grey examples listed with the indys). I get the feeling they just keep the adverts up to engage enquiries and try convert to something else. Or to attract sellers. Only spoke to the one OPC, who said they can't get them in fast enough. They said they don't necessarily see them going up in value, but feel the prices will remain pretty firm. Guess in the current market I'm a good example of why... paying £70s for a 14/64 plate C2S (when you can pay £90s for a 15/65 plate GTS) is just ludicrous.

Anyway, many thanks for the assistance. I did read every word, sorry didn't get back to each post. Now time to fit winters and take it skiing!
Fantastic, great to see that you made the leap of faith! Did you deal with Rhys?
Your spec is great, makes a very nice car indeed.

I'm in Cardiff so not too far away. We should get a few of use together one day and have a GTS meet! The RS day at Oulton Park might be a good starting point in March. Two guys drove there last year from Scotland, one in a GT4 and the other in a GT3.

There's a thread on it here. Unless you're going to be on track you don't need to register but there aren't any track places left now anyway so I'm going just for the social side of things smile

Shall do shortly!

Can anyone advise the widths of the rear wheels? Are they 10.5 or 11J?

I'm trying to order my winter tyres but no one does 305 sections so I'm trying to ascertain whether 295 sections are safe to mount instead.

Many thanks.

These are the tyre specs from the Porsche for the OEM winter wheels and tyres i.e. the Turbo S wheels as fitted but with Winter Wheels and tyres. If you don't fit those tyres I think others will tell you that you'll be endangering your warranty on anything related to driveline.

How much / hard is it to put a ducktail on the 991GTS?

They can be added....from memory I think the parts are circa £2k although that was a passing comment from an OPC salesman who was trying to sell me a car without it. Clearly fitting and painting will add to that and you'd need to have it done at an OPC for your warranty I suspect.

Gutted I'm up in Scotland. Would be good to go for a GTS meet or run.

If you guys ever fancy a GTS NC500 then let me know!
Would certainly be interested in this next Spring if others are too. A GTS lap of the NC500!?

The voodoo one is amazing but two points, £110k? And not sure I'd buy off an outfit like that.....not without understanding where the car has been / how it's been treated.

My guess is that it's SOR and the owner is local/a mate of the proprietor. ...but yes you'd need to do a lot of digging! It's a bloody awful advert all the same "blue" FFS!
