Thanks Tim.

The demo car I had for a weekend had the Glass sunroof & I have a sunroof in my M5 that never gets opened (albeit it's metal on the M5). What I found with the Porsche is that due to it being very dark glass it didn't let much light in while shut with the blind open & I wouldn't drive around with the sunroof open. I also don't like how the open roof looks on the outside of the car, kind of hanging off the back of the roof. Did consider briefly but saw no advantage & it would of course add a bit of weight. Would look good against privacy glass on a Blue car but wasn't enough to push me to part with £1500.
I was having a pootle around North Wales last Thu/Fri, nice day and had the roof open. I am not a fan of convertibles and hate the feeling of being exposed. The glass roof was excellent, no buffeting below 70mph, nice bit of fresh air and a nice burble on the over-run coming down Llanberis Pass. Only downside for me is the creaking over big undulations at low speeds (turning into driveways etc).

Currently agate grey but I think I'm going to switch to graphite blue.

As for spec:

Delete model designation
Porsche logo painted
PDLS+ in black
Tilt/slide glass sunroof
Privacy glass
Roof transport system
Headlight cleaning covers painted
SportDesign exterior mirror lower trims painted in black (high gloss)
Front axle lift system
Light design package
Rear Footwell lighting
Floor mats
Isofix
Burmester sound system

I am debating Power Steering Plus, and seat centres/steering wheel/PDK lever in alcantara!
Lovely spec. I'm too tight fisted to go in quite that deep but may play around with some of the lesser priced options.

I've not heard the Burmester system yet but although no doubt better than the standard Bose, I found the Bose to be as good as any system I've heard, including the HK in my M5 so I decided against that cost. Base reason is what music will be played as the source music will probably be low quality being streamed or MP3's so unless you're playing physical CD's in the car, any uplift will be somewhat lost.

I asked the question about Power Steering Plus & didn't get great feedback. Not driven a car with it but heard it makes the steering feel a little more artificial.

You've got me thinking a may need to get back on the configurator for a playsmile

My current GTS is Agate Grey and gets loads of positive comments from mates etc, all seem to love the colour. I like it but do not think it's that stand out.
I saw this on Twitter yesterday.........Yum:

What colour is that as it looks stunning? Doesn't look like anything I've seen on the Configurator so leads me to think it's a special order colour. My preference would have been Voodoo blue, but not shelling out £3k on special paint.

I think it's Graphite Blue, like I said it's very light sensitive and can look a lot paler than that. Up close it is very Mettalic, stunning.

I think that PSP can be added / deleted later. Seems like an awful lot for a software addition.

Other than the gloss black painted bits & crests, i've followed pretty much the same spec but with Speed Limit display, Homelink & the Heated Wheel (as that adds the Multifunction aspect), also selected heated seats as they an FOC option & floor mats.
Yep, sorry, missed those off - we too went for heated wheel (Multifunction) - easily disabled. The wheel and controls are great btw.
Speed limit disply - didn't have this but was told it was useful - I wonder if it adjusts for temp limits on the M25 - I just got a NIP grrrr...in my snotter! First points in over 25 years.

Heated seats, funny enough we had this option checked for the Carbon Buckets too - as you say foc.

Mats - obligatory.

You made the right choice.

Is an option I'd unlikely go for if I didn't choose the Sapphire Blue. Just think it looks good with the blue. Not a lot of glass in the car anyway so the impact perhaps isn't as great as say on my current M5 so may well drop it as an option neared the lock down date.

Just for you Quickmoose, no tint, no sunroof, coloured lenses and a touch of chrome on the wheel rims:

An option really worth playing with is the bright/chrome window trim, try it on the configurator, really makes a massive impact. I would be tempted with it as it goes with the chrome on the Turbo S alloys.

see that's what I'm on about thumbup ...work 'with' the car and not against it.

...also as well as changing that 911's details to suit me (thanks)...you've changed the MY...now much as I love most/all Porsches...the 991 is a real beaut, whereas the 997.2 is less so..

I'd seriously consider PTS, choose the right colour and I think you can get most of the money back. Sport Classic Gret is now available...would look stunning!

Never even spotted that option. What colours would that work with? I think the blue body, black accents & yellow calliper work very well. On Agate I agree the gloss black doesn't work as well & if I choose Agate I'd drop the tints & black headlamps.

With so many variables I am finding the perfect combo difficult to decide on. Keen to see a graphite blue/crayon interior as on the Config I'm not so sure, but in dealers samples it looks fantastic. Black of course is the safest option.
