I've been told that there are only about 28 of these C16 cars in the country, would that be about right?
Just wondering how many Gen 2 Club Sports came to the UK?

This is also my understanding, although at the most recent tot-up only 22 ? could be found ??

It's quite possible having trawled google around the RHD world that there are only around 70 Worldwide --- with around 240 LHD CS cars.

That would make non CS around 1500.

Interesting to consider that they are as rare as the last Mezger 4.0l in the UK --- with the benefit of being the first water-cooled RS equivalent and with Weissach being given free rein to ensure that the new GT3 entrant would fully live up to the air-cooled RS legacy.

Of course there was no RS version --- hence the CS was it.

There were 1300 x 2000 year cars and around 500 x 2001 cars which had a significant number of modifications that were included in the Gen2 cars. Steel synchro on gear ratios 3, 4, and 5 ? Electric mirrors. I have a list somewhere !

Interestingly, would this make the first 1300 more desirable, or the second 500 ???

The old titanic GT3 owners web site said there were 28. I don't think it exists any more but you can see the last snapshot from www.archive.org here :

That's great to see, and I love the same old stories smile

The rumour of 83 more GT3's with 380 bhp etc etc ...

And how many GT3 MkII's are there ??

I believe only around 200 more the the anticipated number ???

How many Gen2 Clusports are there in the UK ??

The total was around 280 in the UK --- of which CS would be ?

But I think it was only the Gen1 that had the single mass flywheel --- and of course there were also 130 ? Gen2 RS versions ---

Hi I have a 996.1 CS which I'm thinking of selling. Have owned for past 12 years. Has had a K400 upgrade by JZM and 996.2 brake upgrade with stock suspension with fast road set up by Parr. It's done 53k miles and SY. Pm if interested. Sensible offers accepted not looking for unrealistic money.

I've been told by a semi-official source that around 25% of the MK2s were CS spec. They are certainly rarer than the RS. A good number have also had the LWFW fitted back in the days when they used to be tracked (an increasingly rare sight these days).

And not just us! There were a good many .2s at the recent RS day too. Making a bit of a comeback as an analog track weapon?

It's like 2006 all over again!

Really pleased to see cars actually being used.
