A YORKSHIRE animal sanctuary has revealed details of a barbaric “sport” in which kittens are “colour coded” with marker pens and then thrown to packs of savage dogs.

Bradford Cat Watch Rescue Kittens said it had taken in several of the animals which had been rescued by police.

They are coloured or dyed so that players who bet on a chosen kitten know which one has been killed first.

Sanctuary owner Katie Lloyd said: “This is not just a couple of idiots colouring in kittens. This is serious barbaric cruelty. “If these kittens were not rescued I am sure they would have been dead within an hour of two.”

The kittens were rescued by police from a property in Bradford.

Some people really need to be kicked up the arse until their noses bleed.

We could colour them in and bet on the result.

Does anyone know the outcome of this? The news feed went quiet on it, I can't find it mentioned on the cat rescue website and it would be great to hear there was a result from both the welfare and future of the kittens and if any prosecutions were brought regarding this case?

I don't want to hear about prosecutions I want to see their names and addresses published online so the matter can be dealt with and all those who live near can shun them, all shops can refuse to serve them etc.

Yes it was Yorkshire.
I meant the future for the cats as much as the f#%€kers who did this. I had a fick through Yorkshire cat rescue website but (unless I missed it) no mention of them.

This story popped up locally a while ago, turned out to be a kid who'd coloured a kitten with a pen. It might be a real thing, where burley yorkshire types (probably of whatever ethnic origin we dislike at the moment), through cute kittens to angry dogs, but given its not been reported anywhere but by a small animal rescue centre I'd suggest checking sources before we declare war?

Who coloured in the second kitten then? Two coloured in kittens were recovered.
I'm not personally declaring war on anyone, I was simply asking if anyone had an update on this as I didn't hear anything else about it.
I'm involved in the south east with animal rescue, mainly dogs and horses and you wouldn't believe the events I've seen that are never reported or followed up/publicised by the press. Sadly for some reason drink and/or drug addicted celebrities who suffer a premature death from self abuse get more interest than people abusing animals.

Agreed

I cannot see how from anything in the article there is anything to do with a dog eating kitten event going on.

Once again, PH has turned into the Daily Mail comments section.

Apart from the title, the woman on video does not mention dogs, and dogs are not entioned elsewhere.
Even if they were, who turned in the kittens after they were coloured in, but before fed to dogs, and even if this did happen, why would you colour in the kittens, why not just use two different colour kittens?

edit:
Also quite a coincidence the name of the cat: smuft, correlates with this daily mail article about California:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3383220/Ki...

So i'm calling custard on this article.
