I've got a 2 year ~14000 mile service due soon, what's the best price people have managed to get from a dealer ?

So that's the 1st service (excluding run-in)?

IIRC i paid just shy of £400 & that includes some kind of pollen filter as well as the relevant fluids.

Will double check what I paid then as recall it was seen as fairly cheep so hoping I'd have spotted if I'd paid over the odds. Did you get the special filter included as I think that's about £80?

Vines just quoted me £960

After querying and mentioning the £200 service, I got:

Email:

Hope this clarifies the costs.
Oil service with pollen filter service. £446.59
Spark plug service £397.52
Air filter service £116.00
Total £960.11

Seems steep for a 2 year 14000 mile service !!!

You don't need plugs!

This is an issue that's been raised previously and the plug service is at 50000 or something similar. The car says you need plugs but you don't. Mine is due a service Friday at 30000 miles and still doesn't need plugs.

I'll try and find by receipt if I can and see what work they did but is essence it was oil and a filter and not much more.

My car had its 1st service last week well 1st service after the running in one.

so as above oil service plus pollen filter i was quoted £400.92 BMW Wellsway in Bath.
supplied my own oil at a cost to me of £82 and that got the service price down to £234

I've just dropped my F10 off at Vines and last year at 16,000 miles the service was £317 to include oil and whatever it needed.

My 30,000 mile service to include plugs etc. is going to over £800 and probably nearer £900 (I provided my own oil so some saving there yes )

Will you need any brake parts replacing (pads or disks)?

Rear pads only, no disks.
