Congrats! Sadly, i'm the guy on the other side of the fence, with a barely used GT3. Today i've put it up on the classfieds - you've made me want to take it back down now!

One of my clients has been to see this one today as it's fresh in and has the bits he wants. Looks value, but he's not keen on Essex White, but it does have PCCB which his R8 does. Knowing I like my Porsches, he asked my advice, so just told him to go and drive it and not tell his wife...

Great man maths BTW!
The blue, the green or the black one. There is also a raw one coming to join them.

Lovely and perfect timing as well coming up to summmer! Enjoy!

I've really started to put some thought into trading up my GTS to a GT3 at somepoint, to the point of doing some man maths. However, I have noticed the prices seem to very but at the same time I do wonder if its worth holding for a chance to get a 991.2.

You mean MOTORSPORT White?

It's not an XR3i cab mate.

Or get a professional wrap if you don't like white...i'd want some buckets tho' personally, that one has sports seats which won't hold you in on track. If that's not a concern, looking good!! thumbup

You could make it look a bit more interesting if you don't like plain white

There was a little tongue-in-cheek with that one as he lives in Essex wink

At £141,895.00 is it worth a cheeky bid as it's 'cheap' already? His question, not mine as I'm not in that league frown

So I took it for another drive today. I think it's live. Definitely didn't want buckets because they are a bit tight on me and as stated before, I'm not big in to track days.

2 weeks today I pick it up! And the countdown begins

It's a fellow Swedish driver. I don't know if these pics of it being driven in anger will change your mind, but I'll leave them here for posterity, with the caveat that none of them were taken by me.

Congrats! Wonderful machine, absolutely fantastic to drive. I've had mine for a few months (though with the CS accoutrements) and I'm more enamored with it with every mile.

I think if it was less OTT; a bit more subtle it could look ok. But they've made it too extreme.

Overall I'm very happy with them.

I don't know who you've been dealing with there, but all of my dealings have been with Chris and Dave.

Chris has been excellent to me, I originally came in as a tyre kicker not really wanting to buy anything, but a few plans for 6-8 months time. But he spent time with me building a relationship (I know that this is their job) even took me over to the Ferrari dealership across the road because he knew they had a ariel nomad in and I expressed an interest in thoses.

I came in with a work colleague 3 weeks later as he bought a cayenne, and saw a boxster gts they had. Came in the next day and bought it. The transaction was as harmless as it could be and they gave me £2000 more for my px then another garage did.

When I was driving to pick up my other car I decided I wanted to keep the px and they had no issues redoing the deal in the morning including Hong back to the finance and sorting it out with them.

About 2 weeks later I started looking at an additional 911 and I'm not sure they took me seriously to begin with because they dragged their feet on a few cars. But when I started looking at other dealership cars they got their act together and actually bought a car of another customer for me early because it was the right spec and price, and we're OK when I saw the gt3 when I came to the 718 launch and bought that instead of the c2s they bought for me.

I would of liked to drive the GT3, before they applied for the finance but they would only let me once they knew I could actually buy it - but imho I think that's fair enough because it's in a different league to anything I had discussed with them before and over double my next most expensive car. If it was a demonstrator then I would expect them to let me drive it, but a used gt3 then ok not to. I could have still pulled out after the test drive if I didn't like it.

All and all very good so far, though not dealt with them for anything other than car purchases and so far they have jumped through every hoop I have asked them too, including rearranging test drive times, pick up times at last minute......

So so far so good

No need to test drive the 3 - it's a brilliant car - I went : 997 GTS , 997.2 Turbo , 991 C2S - then added the 991 GT3 - virtually never drove the C2S again and sold it soon after - would not buy a 911 now unless it was a GT version - Enjoy smile

The GT3 is an amazing car! The engine sound at 8-9000rpm is just sensational......but very fast.
Always turns heads also.....
Watch this clip of MrJWW who explains how good a GT3 is, and why he sold his Speciale because of its arrival......
Enjoy...you won't regret it!
