I may well be jumping the gun here but I'm looking at a 4.2 cerb that requires some paintwork.
Will most likely result in a full respray, no damage just afew light scratches etc. But just not quite tidy enough rolleyes

This got me thinking about a possible colour change....
Now the logbook states red as the colour so I would like to keep it a shade of red as to not require a change of colour with the dvla.

Would a different colour affect future resale value ?
Original colour is Chianti in the owners handbook but would you go original or choose another shade ?

Renault Clio pearl red

Jeep Grand Cherokee red

RR evoque red

Original colour - Chianti, looks black/very dark out of the light but in direct sunlight has a red/purple flake that really pops.....
(Photo is just an example, not the car I'm looking at )

Have you thought about keeping it an original TVR red?

Nightfire red here:-

I have Al.... I like nightfire red, Rosso red pearl, red glow etc
As well as many aftermarket pearl and candy reds. There's definitely plenty to choose from !
Would any of these effect re sale at a later date though...?

i don't think people would care about the slight colour change if the log book said red and the car is red. The paint would obviously be newish when sold, so simple explanation. At least it would be for me. Love a red car.

My Chianti Starmist log book says burgundy!

There is a Chimaera in Chianti Starmist with 1% spectra flair , looks good.

Jaguar Italian Racing Red!

Difficult colour to photograph (similar in that regard to the TVR I had before).

Not my car but my XF is the same colour
