Hi all, I have a 'business' lease due to the fact I get a car allowance from my work and do some (italics) business mileage. It is a BMW 125d and I got it on a two year deal. I have grown quite attached to its size, performance, economy as a foil for some of the wilder vehicles in my stable.

It is leased thru Arval and I wonder if anyone on here has ever been able to buy their car at the end of the (two year) lease deal.

Anyone any experience?

Lex.give the lease holder first refusal at the end of term. Never taken the up on it so no idea what the prices are like.

It depends on the type of lease and who the lessee is. If it's contract hire and you're the lessee then you're unable to buy it. Quite often the lessee is a driver's employer so the driver is able to purchase the car, however, it doesn't sound like this is the case for you?

I know someone who bought their company car and switched to car allowance, but in the last few thousand miles all of the major parts had been replaced, so effectively a new car and it was cheap due to having 100k on the clock
