It really is an easy job. I'm definitely no mechanic but I found it straightforward. The trickiest part for me was the bit at the top of the photo that says "plug into original connector" - with this you have to insert the red wire into the black plastic plug, which is a little awkward as it needs to go in all the way to be able to make the connection, I used a small screwdriver to "lever" it in all the way and it worked fine.
The earth wire is easy, just use any non painted screw or bolt in the vicinity. I used one of the lid hinge screws, I just shined it up a bit with a little sandpaper.

It is the first "modification" I have done and I am really pleased with how it works and what a massive difference it makes. It is also very easily reversible, if I ever needed to do that, which I doubt!

I've unplugged mine on my .2 and can't seem to notice the difference so leave it plugged in so on the rare occasion I want to switch it off, like on the motorway, I can smile

(Have centre silencer bypass).

Ordered mine from Gert this week and it arrived in 3 days.

Couldn't be happier - exhaust sounds seriously fruity throughout the rev range now - especially low down where before it was muzzled. To the point where I am now questioning the need for that rear silencer delete afterall. Interesting to note that the quiet setting should also keep the flaps closed higher in the rev range which may help come noise test time!! :-D

As you said Phil-68 pretty easy to install, only tricky bit being feeding the red male pin through the male connector.

Here's how mine looks:

Best £200 I've spent in a long time!

Good work! What did you cable tie the box to?

I didn't even bother with that, the shape of the solder made it tricky/impossible to feed through the connector. I just plugged the wires in and taped it down with lots of electrical tape smile
