Originally posted in the travel section, but wondered if anyone here might be able to advise...

I've discovered that my pet medical/vetinary insurance policy wont cover a holiday to France, due mid-June. Does anyone have any recommendations for a once-off/temporary policy provider?

Short version of events: Animal Friends provide current cover, EU side was missed off & their "procedure" says it can't be tacked on. I have complained, but the complaint review process is "up to 8 weeks". hence I might need to put something else in place. Prior to this Animal Friends have provided good service but I'm afraid my complaint to fix this might not be addressed in time

Grateful for any pointers towards other providers who might be able to help - thanks.

bump again, but thought it might be useful to post the answer to my own question, in case anyone came across the same problem..

Found temporary 1 month cover through E&L www.eandl.co.uk

Circa £20 for a 13 year old tibetan terrier with 1 exclusion for a pre-existing condition. Had to call to set up the policy in the end as it's less than 28 days until I travel & for some reason the web form didn't like that. Very straightforward & helpful on the phone.

Looks like they specialise in competition/show animals, so have short term/flexible policies available.
