Hi, does anyone know the size of the 2 bolts which are used to fix the brake calipers on a DB9?

I'm not sure but to remove the bolts I think i'll need a 10mm allen key socket, is this correct?

Yes, that is correct. The bolts on the front are not single use either so they can be refitted. Retorque to 20Nm + 70 degrees.

The only caliper mounting bolts that are single use are the two that mount the rear handbrake calipers.

(This was the newest thread I found asking about caliper bolts so I ask my question here.)

It's time to change the front brake discs and pads front and rear on my DB9 MY09.

After reading Steves https://aston1936.com/2018/10/23/parts-needed-for-... I have bought new discs https://www.bremboparts.com/europe/en/catalogue/di... and pads http://www.porterfieldbrakes.co.uk/brake-pads.html... . Also got anti squeal compound and some grease.

Since Aston Martin (and Steve) say that that new 4G43-2C564-AB bolts should be installed I will change them too. https://aston1936.files.wordpress.com/2018/06/asto...

My question: Are these bolts 10.9 or 12.9 high tensile zinc plated M12 x 1,5 x 80 mm Allen head bolts? Can't see what stamped, manufacturer or grade, at the top of my four old bolt heads.

(Tried to buy OEM bolts two weeks ago from UK and also from the only AM dealer in my country but got no answers yet, which is totally understandable in these days. Have a great hardware store specialized in fastenings only minutes from home and thought I will give them a try. Saves shipping costs and supporting the local business.)

Hi

I believe they are 10.9

These guys in the UK have stem in stock, shipping is obviously going to cost a few dollars extra and I'm not sure what their situation is in the current Covid-19 climate.

You were right. Bolts are 10.9. smile

Ordered eight bolts (only need four right now) on Monday from astonparts.com and got them on Tuesday. Can clearly see 10.9 but have not yet figured out the letters. ABC? APU? ABU? OAV? ODV? Not important for me right now, but if someone else wanted to know I uploaded an image of the new bolts.
