Afternoon PH,

I bought a Mk4 Golf 1.9 Tdi last night with a set of the popular rs4 wheels, not sure if they are replicas or the real mccoy yet but i don't like them due to the size.

I was wondering what these would be worth if i sold them to fund a smaller 17" set of wheels or if anyone would like a rather rough set of wheels as a swap for some rough 17" wheels and tyres they may have lying about?

The guy who had the car gave me 4 new tyres to go with them so that is a bonus.

They'll be reps. The reps tend to have shaper lines and edges as the spokes meet the centre of the wheel.

Value is anywhere between £150 and £400 subject to condition and luck ; )

Worth remembering there was an official 'replica' of the Mk1 RS4 wheel as used on the TT and S3.

The genuine RS4 wheels will have an offset of ET20, and the TT wheel something like ET43 - worth checking if there is an Audi part code on the wheel itself..

Thanks for the heads up, i'll look for the part number and offset on them at the weekend.

Since posting this i joked to a colleague about powder coating bright orange, I kind of want to do this now if only as a temp measure.

Also i think dropping it 45mm might help how it looks.

Also worth noting bolt pattern on genuine RS4 wheels is different from that of the MK4 platform. 5x112 versus 5x100.
If you're referring to the B5 RS4 style wheels there was a version of those released in 5x100. If it's the later B7 style, they're definitely replicas.
