I followed a brand new Focus RS yesterday, and that sounded sh*te as well......maybe a new Ford trend. I'd be very disappointed if I had just taken delivery of my RS and it sounded that crap.

Errr, it's a racing car the sound of the exhaust will simply be a byproduct of what ever will give it the best performance.

I quite like, it doesn't sound like any other race car and for that reason alone it's interesting to me. The car looks quick too.

I guess the road going version is going to sound a bit different to the first clip.

It's a shame they moved from a V8, I thought the last FGT sounded great - but then I would say that.

Agreed. I'm not in the car industry, but I like to think that when the ever-so-important gods of marketing pipe up suggestions about race cars, the engineers tell them to shut the fk up, put the stickers on wherever they like and to close the door on their way out.

I dont remember it sounding quite that fart-y at Spa, thought they sounded quite angry then (compared to the high pitched Ferraris and the WWII warplane like Astons)

Had six hours of listening to two of them at Silverstone. They sound dreadful. There is no discernible change in pitch as the revs rise - it simply blares more loudly. The old 458 was the best-sounding GTE car by a decent margin, in my opinion.
