Hello all.

I finish my old job on Wenesday and don't start my new one until early July.

As I have always had a phone with work (on call), my personal device is a 6 quid Samsung PAYG.

I'm looking for something cheap and cheerful to fill the gap between jobs. I use the phone for watching YouTube and browsing the web (when not on my PC). Don't really use a lot of mobile data as I'm not on FB or any social media. I do browse PH when out and about though.

Can anyone recommend something cheap that I can use as a phone and then use to watch vids and browse the Internet on using wifi? I'm looking at a handset and sim only deal that isn't locked into anything more than a month's contract.

Wiley Fox and some other stuff seems interesting? Anyone got any recommendations for a phone and good data sim?

I've been using iPhones for the past few years as work provided these. Not really into Apple products personally, so any Windows or Android device will be fine.

Thanks all.

Three one month rolling contract and a motorola moto g would be my first instinct.

I was thinking around £100 so the recommendations above fit.

Thanks. smile

Or the Vodafone Smart Prine 7 @ around £75 (easily unlocked ) Stick a 32 game Micro add Card in & it's a great phone for the money ..
I just brought one as a temp phone but I've noticed no real difference in performance compared to my (now broken) £400+ iPhone

My wife has a wileyfox which is pretty good. I'd also look at the homtom ht6 (I think) which is 4g. Another PHer has one and it seems well made/good value for money

Thanks all.

Looks like I may be getting a Wileyfox.

I know I could unlock a Vodafone device, but my current work phone is on that network. The signal around where I live is utter garbage. smile
