Looks like this car is the car for my missus but
A) i know fk all about it
b) i don't know any tips
c) is it even good?

I'm looking for helpful, honest advice here from preferably someone who is knowledgeable about it.
My budget is 10k.. Is a SE-L worth it over the F-Sport?

Thanks

I don't know but my dad swapped mums is200 for a is250.

She wanted something smaller but when they tried the ct he said the ride was far to hard and they got another is instead.

I've not driven one but have been in one I loved the interior set up

Do you parents live in a city? The car would be driven around town for basic commutes then left at home for everything else. It would still do a lot of mileage, though

Anything is appreciated!
I think i'll have to test drive it my self to experience it. I have a RX for this job and its extremely wafty but just terrible at fuel economy

I'm a Lexus fan and the only model I wouldn't own is the CT200h, they make some great cars, the CT200h is the worst by a wide margin, definitely to be avoided.

We bought a well spec'd F Sport a month ago to fulfil similar duties, having never been in or driven one - it's used for commuting around London.

Yes, it has a firm ride. It also corners well, staying remarkably flat at speed. It had a fantastic drivetrain which is well suited to start stop driving and is very refined in terms of NVH.

Get a well spec'd one and it's like a mini luxury car, we have started using it for local runs instead in preference to our CLK and E Class ..

Like a Prius just with a harsher ride, smaller boot and 25% more expensive. Better finish inside marginally but the pious is a more comfortable ride by far.

A mate had one, one of the worst cars dynamics wise out of any modern car I've driven. The rest of it was nice enough though.

He got sick of the ride after a year or so and bought a new C-Class

It's a lot more comfortable and refined than a Prius.

There's one in our work car park. The lady who runs it doesn't seem to like it all based on the uncomfortable ride and the crap fuel consumption on the motorway.

Buy an Auris hybrid instead. Same basic car but much better value for money.

What's the fuel consumption? Anything over 10mpg (our RX) is good for ua biggrin

But extremely dull, where as the Lexus has something going for it...

Been driven in one these on a road trip. The ride is quite firm, road noise is good, very well built and can get high 40s MPG on a run. Stereo's not that good though.
