Hearing rumours for those interested that there is about to be a deployment by the American for summer ops out of Fairford.
Initially B52's due any day now, and in July, B1bs' for the first time in a while. I guess they'll be gone by RIAT thoough.

I believe it's an annual thing as there's always some good metal just before RIAT each year then it all departs a week or 2 before

There will be some USAF stuff there shortly. Looks likely 2 B52s might be coming tomorrow. B1 deployment in late July possibly too.

2 F22s still at LN.

The Valley fly-past has been confirmed on a Facebook page I use.

Happening around 3pm after which they depart to Fairford.

Apparently the roads around Fairford are very busy this morning due to the imminent arrival of the B52's.

Anyone have any idea of the route they might take from Valley to Fairford as quite fancy seeing them on their way too Fairford.

I would have thought they'd fly pretty much direct which given the wind at the moment would send them over Hereford, Gloucester, Kemble and just south of Cirencester to land on 09 but that's just guess work.

Missed it when it flew over Gloucester earlier. Was well annoyed.

There are two more somewhere around here however they don't appear on FR24 & I don't have any military flight finder apps on my phone.

Anyone know where they are?

How would I find the route as it won't be on FR24.

Is there a military version of FR24?

360 Radar is brilliant. Or plane plotter if you're on android.

They won't come up on either of those either though I don't imagine, as they're American. You could find a tanker though.

We had a plan in but it's overdue so I'd guess that's the case

Saw one on my way back from Pembrokeshire today. Thought it was an airliner at first, but the exhaust smoke made me look twice and sure enough it was a lone B52. Wondered what he was doing.
