some choice mods on a 997.2 GTS though could be one of Porsches best cars in the last 10 years for a drivers road car.
What would you get done ? Thinking of taking mine to CG to get the Geo done...might go for JZM though as they are only 20 mins away from home.

some good 2 way shocks maybe just the Ohlins road and track jobs, front adjustable LCA, monoball rear toe links with Adjustable Rear Link Kit, engine mounts maybe ! Bucket seats, and a nice geo to tie it all in, plus a set of better pads with more bite. o and if on N spec tyres some pilot SS or even cup 2's, or take a risk the new sport contact 6.

maybe also a sharkwerks bypass pipe ;-).

All items have no effect on resale as only bolt on's which can be taken off and sold on.

I thought about selling my GT4 for a project like that as I love the x51 3.8 unit and lower in gear speeds on the GTS over the GT4.
Nice!

How about a lightweight flywheel ? Was reading about that on Sharwerks website. They reckon it's a great thing to do on a manual car.

Nottingham OPC has it, on the Porsche approved side. Up,for £67k with no pics.

My guess is the bloke went back to the OPC and squeezed them on price which is why he didn't respond to anyone.

Too many people don't want a private car at that price level, just the odd astute buyer.
Agreed but that doesn't explain why he wasn't responding.
Looks like II has sold. Not a surprise. Manual cars definitely fetching a premium.

Haha, I'm only hoping I can manage my new car. After "putting up" with the wrong spec for so long!

I'm only kidding chaps, these cars are all brilliant.

Just looked at your car on the 991V site, looks great!

What are you changing it for ?

Great to see that the owner of the £75k car is using it as god intended. RPM tweeted a picture of a GTS with ducktail this morning....

I wonder if this car on eBay is real

15k mile manual coupe for £60k in PTS Ipanema Blue...also known as "Le Panama" Blue apparently! It's a Carrera 4 but cheap if it's real me thinks.

Each to their own and all that but what an awful colour and terrible add...!
I don't dislike the colour. Ad is shocking.

That was retailed new by Bristol OPC.
In a shocking development Hexagon have added it to their ever expanding collection of GTS's

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

Just the £15k increase in price...

I love mine which I paid £60k for in Feb before Hexagon started their games...£70k plus is the wrong price relative to other cars out there. Not just 997 GT3's, Boxster Spyder's and GT4's have both softened in price whilst GTS's have gone up.

That said I don't think trade bids are even at £60k judging by that car on the PCGB Forum month or so ago where he was being bid £56k.

What are thoughts on GTS's with aero kits? When they launched my dream spec would have included aero. Now I have one that doesn't have aero, I am not so sure I would prefer one with it.
Personally I don't like it although quite like the duck tail that you can get on the 991. Porsche won't sell you the Sport Classic duck tail for the 997 but RPM will.

Think that GTS is "trying too hard" personally with the decals and center stripe but you get the idea.

I've been considering selling my car, i've been in contact with a few dealers one of which suggest a retail price of mid 70's. flattering but at the same time I can't beleive it! Values have certainly increased!

Problem is, even if I do decide to sell, what do you replace it with without having to part with an additional £30k+ ??
What spec is your car out of interest ? Manual, Coupe ? I assume the mid 70's was on an SOR basis ?

PTS colour (pic in my profile)
Manual C2
PCCB
Full leather
Sharkwerks bypass

And yes it was SOR, something I suggested myself as i'm not 100% sure on parting ways with her yet.
Ah yes I recognise that car! When I saw the PH article about it had me seriously tempted. When my car came up for sale (manual like yours) a couple of months later I didn't hesitate.

IIRC correctly that would be a nice turn on it in a relatively short time.

Chris, you are a bad influence... The Sharkwerks has been a great upgrade, and I just had the Sport button retrofitted last week.

The spec I wanted - which took ages to find - was silver, manual, centre locks, no aero-kit, no sunroof, no rear wiper and the leather dash. But I think my car looks too high from the front. I know your car is lowered, but do you have any more photos from the front view? Is this an expensive upgrade?
Hi Stephen

Me, a bad influence...surely not!

Glad that you're enjoying the Sharkwerks exhaust upgrade - they should have sounded that good from the factory in my opinion!
My car has the H&R Sports springs fitted (a specific kit for the GTS) which lowers the height by -20mm (my car was -21mm on the front and -18mm on the rear) and it now looks the perfect height in my opinion. Springs were £325 including VAT plus installation and geometry set-up so not mega money for the improvement in looks and handling.

Here are some images of the front and side on (before and after lowering) to help...

Before lowering with OE wheels:

It does look great but I think the wheel offset issue that the CL's have would look worse with the car lowered (i.e. more obvious) unless you address it with a nice set of GT3 (are they RS for the offset?) wheels like you have!

Think my pal's had a bit of a bargain with his recent purchase from Uber gt in comparison to some of the asking prices out there. Beautiful car and I'd love one. Can't shake off the humble Megane though!!!

And in the best colour! What spec is his car ?

Firstly as this is my first post I thought I would say "Hello to all " .

The GTS jbaddeley shows above is my car.

It's a 2011 Carrera 2 GTS in platinum silver.
PDK
Porsche Tracker
Sports exhaust
Sport design steering wheels - paddles
PASM
Nav/Phone/Bose
Park assist
Heated sports seats
Headrest crests
Rear wiper
Cruise control
Sports Chrono plus
Alcantara delete
And a plastic dash lol

Still in Porsche Warranty.

I've come out of my M3 CSL and this is the replacement . Both great cars

Nice spec and a lovely car!

Took mine to the PEC with the 997 PCGB register....90 mins driving mine around the circuits with one on one instruction.

Second time I have done it and was a little bit greasy today because of the weather which was brilliant....got the back out a couple of times biggrin Not by design but managed to control it relatively well.

Great way to learn about what fantastic cars they are....I also got the instructors to do a couple of laps...now that really was an eye opener.

That must have been you leaving just as I arrived then. I had the back end stepping out every time I came out of the bomb hole in 2nd.
Ah that's a shame could have compared notes. You have the Sharwerks kit fitted IIRC...I really wish I heard your car!!!

Yes when the car was a bit light there it stepped out nicely didn't it. I also got it to do it a couple of tImes when you come down hill after the kick plate on the other track. Classic end of session piushing a bit harder than I realised...

In typical bloke style I had really read up on Sport mode and now know that when Sport is selected it lets the car get a bit looser before PSM kicks in. 12 deg vs 7 deg apparently!
