So lets see how long this GTS lasts for....A 997.2 GTS 4 PDK with 26,000 miles priced at £64,995 and 911V don't usually flex much on prices...
So that's the current retail for a 4wd PDK car with average spec and 26k miles!

Good value and spec IMO - http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...
Very nice looking car.Not as good spec wise and highish mileage but it's a manual with SSK

tempted by one...like the idea of getting back into a "fun" 911
but are GTS's really worth 50% more than C2S, now into 997.2 Turbo money.....
I guess the marker is they are still only 60% the price of a GT3
It's definitely got more to it than an "S" but also is certainly not a GT3...so is probably priced about right!but are GTS's really worth 50% more than C2S, now into 997.2 Turbo money.....

If you're thinking about a GTS4 with PDK like the car above then a Turbo has to be under consideration...if its a GTS2 with Manual you're after a Turbo isn't really a comp IMHO.

Not 50% but if you have the cash you might as well have one as you'll be enjoying a better car and you'll lose less in depreciation.but are GTS's really worth 50% more than C2S, now into 997.2 Turbo money.....

You might even make a few quid. The same can't be said for the S model unless its perhaps a very nicely spec'd manual car with low miles.
blooming heck - prices seem to have shot up
A friend of mine sold his for £55k in May/June this year.
2011 cab GTS (sub 25k miles) , one prev owner (he was second), great spec. He only had it 5 months (replaced it with a Ferrari) but in that time he added 2 new tyres, big service and 2 years of Porsche warranty.

I don't think trade prices are that much higher than that now trade bid two or three months ago was in the £56/57k area. A friend of mine sold his for £55k in May/June this year.

Fellow GTS owners what's the general consensus on higher mileage and values? Is there a point the car becomes "too high mileage"?
I've never been one to be too fussed about mileage of cars and usually put 8k miles a year on my weekend car due to Euro trips and track days. When I bought my GTS it had 48k on the clock and I just thought I'd run it the same as any other car I'd had. I was cleaning the interior the other day and saw the odometer and it dawned on me that I've only done 6k miles in 18 months in this car!
I'm wondering whether I'm starting to worry about putting too many more miles on! With 54k miles on it it's not a "collectors car" but is in good nick and serviced annually. Do I just keep driving until I hit 80k/100k or move it on soon before it becomes completely worthless!?! Opinions please!
PS - Yes it is modified somewhat but all bolt on parts and I have all the original parts, the car can be made back to factory spec within a few hours and I can sell on the "mod" parts.

Seems that the only jump in prices applies to low mileage, manual cars. OPC have a 13k mile manual in for just shy of £76k. When I bought my 17k mile PDK, there was a manual, bucket seated, sports chassis example I turned down for just short of £57k.
Mine now has 37k miles and OPC offered me £48k 3 months ago. No doubt they'd advertise at what I paid 3 years ago (£59k), so good residuals but no hard cash to actually be made as such at the moment.

Not sure I have any answers for Big E. For reasons that are not perhaps entirely logical, 100k miles is always a big psychological barrier to many buyers in the UK. Likewise, say around 75k miles then also potentially becomes one too as a weekend user knows they can get 4/5 years use out of the car before it reaches the barrier. Mine has done 38k and had done 32k when I bought it in May 2016 and I intend to use and enjoy it as much as I reasonably can.
Portsmouth Porsche Centre seem to have a couple of 997 GTS cars but notably a GTS4 coupe with PDK and 30k miles is £67k there which seems like maybe its not just the manual, very low mileage cars that are in demand?

Mine is about to go over 50k and I don't care. My current thinking is that when it's too old or high miles to be Porsche warrantied I will turn it into a track day car.
Nice way to look at it and I do track mine (with suitable mechanical sympathy) as it's not a sub 10k miler that I'll panic about a bit of gravel rash.I do have a day to day car, a couple of family cars and the kids get cars so I'm not in a position to afford (or justify to the wife!) another weekend car I will need to sell the GTS if want a McLaren/Ferrari etc in a couple of years so residuals aren't everything but worth keeping an eye on to help me make the next step.

Shame about the seats I would have thought it would have had sports seats at the least! Cheib said:
