Hope it finds a good home! Does look a cracking car for someone. There have been plenty of people saying they can't afford GTS's at £60k plus....well now here's your chance.

Ah, but they'll not want this one because of the miles. What people really want is a low miles 7GTS for £50k.

If someone wants a 7GTS that their happy to drive and not be worried about adding miles this seems like a decent buy at the right price, especially as a lot of the running gear has been refreshed by jackwood. It's a nice spec with the diff etc.

Looks like Hexagon leading the 'GTS pricing race' again with an £84,995 997.2 GTS Manual car....

Amazing the premium the Manual gearbox now demands over the PDK (which was a £££ option on the car when new) and just now Hexagon have 2 x manual cars just listed and JZM have 1 listed and another to follow. The Hexagon manual cars are approx. £10k more than their PDK stock!
Hexagon Manual GTS 2WD in RED 13,700 miles @ £84,995
https://hexagonclassics.com/cars/porsche-911-997-c...
Hexagon Manual GTS 2WD in WHITE 26,400 miles @ £79,995
https://hexagonclassics.com/cars/porsche-911-997-c...
JZM Manual GTS 2WD in SILVER 28,488 miles @ £71,900
http://www.jzmporsche.com/used-vehicle-details/Por...
JZM Manual GTS 2WD in WHITE 46,537 miles @ £66,900 (sharp money for a manual car with carbon buckets BUT slightly higher mileage and owners...)

Hexagon now have 11 x 997.2 GTS in various editions in stock!!! ELEVEN!

would any one take one over a GT4 @ the £85k figure ! the 997.2 GTS is an amazing spec car and was the pick at £60k ,the new figures are hard to swallow and are GT4 money.

chris @ ABP would be good to comment having swapped.

I think they will have 11 for ever at these prices lol

Would I take a manual 997 GTS (mine was PDK) over my GT4.....No.
Whilst the 997 GTS is a sublime car with a peach of an engine and quite possibly the best 997 you can buy the GT4 for me is a much better place to be. Fantastic chassis, lovely noise, great gear-change (ratios too long), amazing brakes and it just looks so right. A GT4 with the 997 GTS engine would be sensational...

We all think that about Hexagon prices but they do sell them, they sold my PDK GTS for £71k and I know of at least 3 other GTS's they have 'SOLD' in the very high £70's. Is £84,995 too much for a manual 2WD car.........

JZM have some lovely stuff... but when did 997 GT3RS 4.0 pass £500k?

Last time I looked they were mid 3's.

If 7GTS owners who like manuals are like me (and Chris is by example) the next car they would consider is probably a GT4 or Boxster Spyder without the big leap in cost to the equivalent GT3 cars. The challenge for me (and I suspect others) is the appeal and increased usability of having the occasional rear seat child passenger (and a bonus of supple suspension for road use). So right now this is as close as I can get to the perfect Porsche for me.

I remember those good times back in late 2011! Also in 2011/12 I remember a nearly new lovely Aqua blue car with manual ,spasm and under 1500 miles for a fiver under £60k!
That was the time when to buy a new or nearly new Porsche!
The red car up for £82k was at an opc a while back and took time to shift at £65k it has the standard non sports seats how wrong is that!

The other one looks to be the nicer spec car....Alcantara with the uber rare Bucket Seats although it has done 45k miles.

My insurance renewal is due at the beginning of next month - so what would be a realistic value to place on a manual 997 GTS with 15,300 miles?

The spec is platinum silver, alcantara/extended leather, proper steering wheel, Sport mode, dynamic cornering lights, heated seats, PCM nav, and universal audio interface. The car also has a Sharkwerks bypass and DSC Sport module (plus original parts). I'd had it at £62k last year, and was going to say £65k this time, but should anything happen, it feels like it'd be unreplaceable.

Got to be £80k for insurance purposes surely. How do you find DSC?

Ride is definitely better, and less nose dive under braking, but I've not had chance to do many miles since fitting it.

Can't decide whether to invest in one of these. Let us know your thought when you get some miles under your belt

I fitted DSC module to my 7.2 GT3.

Love it. It makes the car more compliant (but without making the car soft) ) on bumpy roads, steering also improved on bumpy roads, and sport mode now usable on UK roads.
