Market trend for 997 GTS 2wd Coupe

I believe the data on The Market website is asking prices but I've excluded outliers which probably trims off the top price Hexagon car/s.

Unfortunately the miles I've put on my car have decreased the value by about 23% over the year.....

Big E 118, I've still got a set of GT3/RS wheels and tyres removed from my car which I know you really want ;-)

Must get around to advertising them....

Hi Chris
I'm still debating selling up (GT4's look tempting), in the mean time I've just bought a new set of PS4S's for my current wheels.

I'm sure they'll sell quickly when you advertise them though.

Looks like Hexagon leading the 'GTS pricing race' again with an £84,995 997.2 GTS Manual car....

Amazing the premium the Manual gearbox now demands over the PDK (which was a £££ option on the car when new) and just now Hexagon have 2 x manual cars just listed and JZM have 1 listed and another to follow. The Hexagon manual cars are approx. £10k more than their PDK stock!
Hexagon Manual GTS 2WD in RED 13,700 miles @ £84,995
https://hexagonclassics.com/cars/porsche-911-997-c...
Hexagon Manual GTS 2WD in WHITE 26,400 miles @ £79,995
https://hexagonclassics.com/cars/porsche-911-997-c...
JZM Manual GTS 2WD in SILVER 28,488 miles @ £71,900
http://www.jzmporsche.com/used-vehicle-details/Por...
JZM Manual GTS 2WD in WHITE 46,537 miles @ £66,900 (sharp money for a manual car with carbon buckets BUT slightly higher mileage and owners...)
http://www.jzmporsche.com/used-vehicle-details/Por...

Hexagon now have 11 x 997.2 GTS in various editions in stock!!! ELEVEN!

Not cheap but keen price moved them on quick, whereas hexagon are happier to sit and wait. Certainly a clear statement of where the market is at!

Cheapest 2wd manual 997.2 GTS you're likely to see @ £49,995

http://www.911virgin.com/porscheforsale/711/997GTS...

If you're planning on using it don't let the mileage put you off @ 78,000. Being a 911V car you can be assured it will be right, Tom doesn't sell rubbish.

It looks cheap, Why would they knowingly sell for less than they could?

Cheap because of the mileage, and most seem to want PDK in their 997 GTS.
That won't hang around for long (he says as he starts looking down the back of the sofa for a spare £50k).

The 997.2 was the last of the small, analogue 911s. The 7GTS was the last and best of those, with a number of costly options included at little or no extra cost in order to keep the pot boiling until the 991 came out.

The 7GTS is the best Porsche I've owned (and I have had a few) and it might be the best car I've owned,

It's a cheap car and manuals fetch more than PDK's now. I'll be amazed if that hasn't sold the middle of next week.

I will be amazed if it isn't sold by the weekend....

The price obviously reflects its price but if you're buying it to use its a great car to buy as it removes the concern of putting miles on a low-miler.

Best value 7GTS atm is the East London 41k mile car. Bit of negotiation would see it at £10k more, with 2 years OPC warranty.

Agree it looks a good one but its a PDK car as opposed to the 911V manual. Only 1 manual 997 GTS in the OPC network - Grey coupe, 28k miles at £77,995!

Yes I noticed that, but outside of pistonheads PDK is still probably the preferred choice. Upside of manual is cheaper maintenance long term - I wouldn't want to replace a PDK unit. I genuinely haven't watched the market but are these £80k GTS's selling out of interest?

No question the good spec GTS's priced in the high 60's are all selling, the manual cars in the mid 70's seem to be selling too but the £80k cars seem to remain advertised for some time. Having said that we have put a bypass pipe on a low mileage (3k) GTS Manual purchased from Hexagon for over £80k!

When you think about it the discount/penalty for using these cars is mental....it's priced at say £25k under a car with 50,000 miles less on it. 50p a mile in depreciation....that's bonkers!

So, if I was looking for a daily driver, that lives on the road, in the £50k ballpark, that wasn't going to lose she'd loads of money, this could be a good buy?

The Portsmouth car is (was) mine. Decided to sell at (what I thought was ) a good price and put a deposit on a new 991.2 GTS. Hexagon offered a similar price, but then pulled out saying the market was getting over saturated with 997 manuals. To be fair, they have been buying a lot so maybe they need to move some cars before re-stocking.

If anyone is interested, it is a very good car, lovingly looked after and Gtechniqed as well. I was a bit surprised at the advertised price - thought something around 75k would be nearer the mark. Just to be clear, this is not a commission sale and I have no further interest in the car.

Have gone slightly overboard with the spec of the new 991.2, including PTS in Oak Green. If the colour is good enough for Walter, is good enough for me, only his is a 911R. Doh!
