what works? sticking one to the windscreen? lots of little ones along the windscreen frame? one attached to the scuttle a la 1920's style?

I find the standard one is quite good, if you rotate the mirror body 180 degrees so the dip switch is at the top.
The dip switch is very handy, because in traffic at night van/SUV lights are straight in the mirror.

Standard one always worked for me. Make sure the mirror arm and screen are very clean, use alcohol wipes after thorough washing and ensuring no glue or crap left on either.

I then warm up the mirror arm a bit (I actually use the gas job !) then stick on the usual mirror stickers. I've then used a hairdryer to warm and dry the screen where it sticks also. Latest one has been on 5 years.
