Philips Hue - setup issue with multiple devices
Discussion
I've just got Philips Hue today, and the setup was a breeze using the official app on my iPad. All well and good, but I've downloaded the same app to my wife's iPad and its saying the bridge is not connected. Both iPads are on the same wifi network (as is the Hue Bridge) so any ideas what I'm doing wrong? I've been googling most of the evening to no avail and I'm stumped

Yes, I've also paired my phone this morning with no problems so it's just my wife's iPad that is not connecting. I can't see any reason for it.....
Sounds like the iPad has the issue. How old is the wife's iPad?I know, on Android anyway, there are two official apps in the app store. Maybe try another official or unofficial app to see if you can get it working.
Had this problem before. It was because the other devices had different Apple IDs. used this guide to add another iOS device:

now I just need to figure out how to cancel the wake up timer on one of the lights. Upgraded to the latest hue app but it can't see the timer set for the bulb... so annoying it comes on the days I'm off and I can't stop it. I'm lazy

Thanks guys, all good suggestions
Hers is an iPad 3 so several years old but seems to works ok on the face of it. Unfortunately using another 3rd party app didn't work though.
I thought that the different Apple IDs might do the trick, but that didn't work either
I'll do a bit more googling later on...

I had the same problem and I read somewhere that it might work if you have a combination modem/router, you can solve the pairing problem for the second device by plugging your hue bridge into the modem/router instead of into an output port on your WiFi router. I wasn't sure what a modem/router was, but I did have some additional Ethernet ports on the back of my Comcast modem, so I moved the cable connecting to the hue bride from my WiFi router to the modem and it solved my problem.
