Has come loose, anybody know how to they fasten ? Vantage MY2010.

It appears to be some slots in the door which the trim latches into, I've tried pressing down on it firmly but it pops up again when I close the door and the window completes its sealing rise.

One of those annoying nuisances, !

Cheers in advance.

If you mean the trim piece with the rubber seal at the base of the window they just push on; I don't believe the small square holes, etc., in the lip of the door panel have any function when securing the trim.

When new the rubber lips in the trim piece grip tightly but with age they become less effective. My car came back from the bodyshop with some thin gaffa tape like stuff stuck along the door lip, presumably to ensure the trim stayed in place, unfortunately it was too long and protruded out beneath the trim, hence I knew it was there. I would have thought an AM approved bodyshop would have noticed this before returning the vehicle but apparently not.

Thanks for that, nice to know it's not just mine!

Replaced the rear door one on mine - apparently the locating lugs corrode. Spot that on a lot of Rapides I see now = they sit up a bit from the top of doorframe - suspect similar mounting for Vantage?

I have the same on the driver door of my Vantage.

As it's interference fit, it would benefit from having some material added. I've not stripped it off to examine it yet, but I'd imagine some adhesive-backed sponge (much like the insulation you can get for door frames) would do the trick, nicely.

Anyone reading this in the future. I used double sided nylon tape and this has kept my trim down when closing the window.. there are clips inside too which I gave a gentle push up when I put the trim back down too
