I'm guessing the market is generally waiting for the announcement on the 991.2 GT3, it's well known it will be offered as a manual and may well have the 4.0l from the rs. If that's the case i see the values of 997/ dropping as one of their main selling factors were they were the last manual gt3's etc

Understood there is more bloatware with the new cars so values are'nt going to drop off massively but i do see a correction coming

I agree, there will be a correction coming for all GT3's if the next one is manual. I think the 991 GT3 PDK will face the heaviest fall.

They are IMHO the best Porsche that you can buy. The true culmination of everything that made all of the GT3's epic, in one car.
I'd agree with the above to be honest albeit without having driven a 6rs.

The value of everything to be honest is too high but if you were going to buying something you could do worse than get the 7.2rs as it's likely to hold better than a lot of other things out there and more importantly, it is absolutely epic to drive.

£186k it's top wack atm ! not sure how one can think that's cheap !

and one would want the decals fitting back.
Indeed...

There's something else not quite right with that car... Shouldn't the mirrors, end plates and 'mouth' be in the contrast colours?
Could you order them without decals when new? What colour would the aforementioned items then get painted?

Im LOI for the next 991 GT3 with a manual. around 110-115.000 Euros Base price + the dreaded.

Thats for a brand new car with 5 years of just oil , filters and brakes/rubber.

I think the GT3 market in general is gonna get a big correction, maybe not this year but if Porsche decides not to limit prod numbers that much then its gonna be one hairy ride.

And I bet Porsche have been monitoring the market and all the markups is a strong indicator they could sell 15.000 GT3s without much trouble! thats a fair bit of dosh!

This did catch my eye yesterday. The 6 previous owners over 5K miles put me off - although I appreciate not uncommon.

Are you bored of the 991 GTS already?
No...but I've hankered after an RS for a long time and if I'm unlikely to pick up a new one at list then the 997.2 seems the car to buy once prices have stabilised.

There was a white/red 997.2 RS in the classifieds a few weeks ago for £155k (private sale). I would feel uneasy paying £180k for one at the minute.
Sums it up for me, at these levels one cannot expect or bank on any significant upside and it is about putting aside £150k+ to drive this car vis-a-vis lots of other offerings.

they have dropped £30k this year ! that's quite a big hit and they are still not selling at these new prices !

peak was £200k and now in the £160k's OPC and less private.

A car I have my eye on but no chance risking it atm, we have a few PH members cars for sale which have been SOR all Summer !

most I have ever seen for sale also 9 at 3rd party dealers 5 at OPC's !!! and I dare not think what OPC now bid on these cars must be sub £150k !

OPC's seem always last to the party though like catching a falling knife ! they have a long winter a head of them imo.

That's slightly trump style statistic smile In that although some dreamer may have asked for £200k, the market never went that high in my opinion (apart from some one off PTS car) and therefore the wrong hilltop to use for comparison. The ones that actually sold (and didn't just sit around at dreamer prices) seemed to be in the £180s imv.

Short term the prices of these are surely linked to what is going on with the 991 GT3 RS ? It was in the fever of 991 prices that some of these cars traded around the £200k level and as the 991 has come off so has the 997.

Long term I think think the 997.2 prices will settle above 991.1.

Also I think JZM were taking the piss pricing the 997.1 around the £150k mark....I think the price reduction is more them putting them up for what they should have done in the first place! Tom Hartley Jr sold a 997.1 rs in a fweek which IIRC was up for about £130k.

While I agree it must be pointed out that the Hartley car at £125k was black with orange accents (and it sold in 1 day - cheap car). They always trade at a big discount to Orange and Green, so not a fair comparison.

Grey Black with 1 owner but £195K. It's what I'd buy at the right price.

Nice car. What is the right price in your mind? Too far away to negotiate? £195 seems high end to me at the moment.

This car is very special.. Trust me I owned it until yesterday.. Out the box brand new. Factory original paint (even PU) No marks - looks and smells
brand new

Earlier comment re decals - Special CT order car with sticker delete and bespoke request interior..

Ignore prev owners - same gent who ordered/spec new has subsequently owned it 3 times!!

Price compared to other advertised 7.2 RS's keen re above

I think what I'd be prepared to pay right now would be outside the range of negotiation - simply because I have no idea where they'll be in 6 months time. It's too much money to be impetuous.

I am gambling on the 991.2 GT3 being manual too! Preference is a 997.2 but could live with 991.1!

absurdly expensive still imo
the RS was just a £20k option on the gt3 and for me this is a psychological barrier to pay a £100k premium for a few bits and bobs

I'm looking at these too over the coming months as i think possibly the best 911 ever made, for me anyway. What with Brexit and the manual 991.1 GT3 i think we'll see a dip in the 997's for the short term at least
I wouldn't buy unless thinking of keeping for a few years if considering the money side of the purchase.

Out of interest, what is a good spec for one of these? Is PCCB considered a must have? Personally I wouldn't want PCCB.

Leather dash and door tops
Sport Chrono
front lift?
Carbon interior / rear section of console

What else is there of importance?
